Book a Sunset Veranda next time. I agree about the Edge balcony. I’m not a fan. You need to book the sunset veranda well in advance as they always sell out.

Thanks for responding. I've watched all your travel videos now and can really appreciate your honest critique. I did Alaska last summer on the Celebrity Solstice with the veranda and don't think I would choose the veranda cabin on the edge because of this video. I think it would be worth splurging on a suite or cutting back to an ocean view and spending more on excursions.

Thank you for kind words, d j! Everyone's taste is different when it comes to travel, cruising and food, but I tried to be logical in my critique. In addition I did speak to many fellow guests and not a single one thought that the Infinite Veranda is a good idea. Would be interesting to see how Celebrity gets themselves out of this pickle: from what I've heard they ordered two more EDGE class ships. Yet to emphasize again, even with this unpleasant stateroom surprise, in General cruise was great! Cheers and happy cruising!

It is called Cas Abao. One of the best beaches on Curacao in my opinion.

So, would you say the Edge is overall a disappointment/ bad value?

Overall we very much enjoyed this cruise. It was more expensive than our typical Caribbean trips, but it was worth it. If we come back to EDGE, we will have to get a real balcony, not the Infinite Veranda.
