Visit in the breeding centre 🐣 of Loro Parque Fundación in La Vera | zoos.media

Loro Parque Fundación (LPF) houses the largest and most diverse parrot collection in the world. At the breeding station in La Vera, above the Loro Parque, is the heart of the successful parrot breeding program, which is also important for the conservation of the species.
Together with the Curator of Birds, Márcia Weinzettl, we were able to visit this station and she gives us a great insight behind the scenes of the successful conservation of the Foundation, which has already saved nine species of parrots from extinction. LPF ensure for many other species that they were and are protected early, efficiently and successfully. 100% of a donation to Loro Parque Fundación is used directly for work in numerous projects.
