    I have ABSOLUTELY not been feeling like myself. Tasks that I used to enjoy are filled with so much anxiety. Driving is so hard for me now because I get so anxious. The night sweats are horrible and my work day is filled with fatigue and brain fog.

      Same here I have been perimenopausal for 2 years now I'm 52 last 8 months really felt the symptoms mentioned above, three doctors refuse HRT then my PCP prescribed venlafaxine antidepressant Marie Claire commented on my other reply to find a menopause specialist so I finally met with one last week and she told me to buy Equelle for 3 months and then come back and see her because the soy will help with my symptoms and I might not need HRT. Is she right or should I still keep going to the fifth doctor? Marie Claire , Any opinion please? I have probably 5 to 7 hot flashes a day 1-2 at night lasting 1-4 mins I'm very irritated lack of energy when I used to be a go get a girl. I am impatient with everybody around me yes I do have mood swings and lack of energy I have body aches and muscle aches as you mentioned before,.also right shoulder and arm aches. I feel I don't want to do anything and participate in world activities. Then once in a while have a great day maybe every 2 weeks 1 day is fantastic.

    Praise Jesus! Finally! People are recognizing this. I’m 57 years old and have been feeling like this and struggling with a myriad of these symptoms! It wasn’t until I found this platform that I realized what was going on. I’m now on HRT and feeling so much better. Note: I have always watched what I ate, exercised and did all the things to maintain a healthy lifestyle and still experienced all of these symptoms (and more). Ladies, the struggle has been real. But I’m so grateful to have found Dr. Haver and her research!

    Omg yes!!!! I entered perimenopause last October and it’s been nothing but anxiety, panic attacks, irritability, mood swings, crying outbursts, heart palpitations are the worst, crawling skin feeling, tingly arms and hands, brain fog, fatigue, constant worry and fear , and the feeling of going crazy! It’s terrifying! I don’t want on antidepressants. I take magnesium and other vitamins to cope but to think how long this can last is frightening. I’ll be 41 soon btw. Thank you for your videos! Your been a huge part of my perimenopause journey! ❤️

      @@flaneskaI also got BIG problems with my stomach on the oral progesterone, now I’m trying vaginal pills on day 16-28 in combination with estrogen. It’s better than the oral progesterone, still some side effects like bloating and some stomach issues but not as bad. Taking estrogen helps with the whole terrible perimenopause journey and wish you did not have to take progesterone as well but since you can’t do that bc of risk for cancer choose the vaginal option.

    I work with a group of Millennials who do not understand this phase of life. I suffer from severe brain fog, and fatigue, and they treat me like I’m crazy. I also have high anxiety in areas that do not negate this emotion. I’m fatigued far beyond my activity level. I am a mess! I can’t make them understand so most often I just withdraw. I want to thank you and every woman represented in the study. I am not alone, and I am definitely NOT crazy!

      I’m a millennial and going through it myself. Let’s not stereotype. Lastly I think having the conversations with younger women is essential for continuing to change how society views and treats this. I am already talking openly to my 17 and 20 year old daughters about what I am going through in hopes that they not only can understand but can identify it for themselves as the time comes and so that the proper research and care continues to make headway so that women no longer have to suffer in the future.

    I’m 40, I still have my periods, very regular… but, my Luteal phase symptoms are exactly what someone would describe as perimenopause :/
    I had a baby 4 years ago and I nursed the entire 4 years. Finally weaned.
    My body was in menopause the whole time as nursing mimics it. And now that my baby is weaned, my hormones are getting back to “normal”, I feel better overall. Sleep, sex drive, moods, skin, body fat is shifting from looking old to more feminine, and I’m finally losing weight without trying.
    But, Luteal phase for me is so brutal, it reminds me of how awful I felt when I was nursing and having menopausal symptoms :(
    I don’t know what to do. I feel like a stranger abducts my brain and body and it’s not me, I’m not myself until I get my period.

    I am going to turn 40 soon, into perimenopause from this year and have not been feeling myself, have weird body pain, not getting good sleep, though I have been doing IF from before, taking care of diet and exercise 😐

    I’m 41 and not feeling like myself is irritability, emotional, fatigue, depression, anxiety, heart palpitations, interrupted sleep, loss of concentration. I’m also noticing that I am having a harder time managing my weight. It does not help I’m dealing with a back injury/sciatica but I am still working out regularly and I have been lifting weights for the last 12 years. I want to start HRT and from my labs I definitely believe I’m showing evidence of perimenopause but I feel so lost and unsupported. I am also freaking out bc I have pmdd and have struggled for year and there seems to be zero data on pmdd and perimenopause/menopause experiences.

    I started full blown perimenopause at the week of my 44th birthday with my first crazy feeling on anxiety I’ve never felt before I noticed it started in my head like I was going crazy this happened when I was on trips like on a cruise or in mountains out of no where it would hit me two months later my estrogen levels kept dropping closer together and didn’t know what it was until my dr confirmed it was perimenopause and gave me ssri nothing else. I couldn’t stand the feeling anymore at work or anywhere I went therefore I did research and went to my gyno and started me with estradiol birth control after a couple months I started feeling a little bit better and heard experts like Dr haver and more and he started me then on HRT and been on it for a month and half although I’m getting break through bleeding it says Clamira is part of the side effect.. waiting to feel even better in a few weeks on the lowest dose. 🙏

The doctors I've seen only want to prescribe oral progesterone and topical testosterone because the 1 blood test i had done 2 wks prior to my cycle showed adequate estrogen levels. Im thinking about just going on BC at this point for the estrogen but am fearful of the blood clot risks and having the MTHFR mutation. Some relief would be a godsend though!

    What I suspect was the onset of perimenopause brought on severe PMDD, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. It’s been a long 2 years of ups and downs and not getting help or being heard simply because I’m 35 (my mother stopped at 40). I suffer with all of these.. the fearful anxiety that creeps in before my period starts (which can be at any time for any length and flow) is one of the hardest to bear. I’ll handle the hot flashes, insomnia, moodiness all day long but that anxiety is killer for me. My progesterone is super low, so is my FSH, and my TSH. Progesterone pills about killed me. That’s all I’ve been offered minus antidepressants. I can’t take birth control. Thank God for vitamins.. at least they’ve helped.

Search on the North American Menopause Society website for a menopause trained specialist in your area. In the United States there are online menopause practioner you could also search for.

    I have ALL of these. Desperation led me to you and then ultimately to a hormone clinic where I started pellet therapy with testosterone and progesterone. I feel great for about 3 weeks and then experience a full on crash in energy and emotions and I'm right back to NFLM again. I am 47, still have my period, and pretty fit for my age. I was told that I "burn" thru the pellets faster due to my low fat body index. Is this true? The pellets hurt in my butt almost the entire 3 months. I was also told that was because of my muscular build. My low libido is still tanking. Haven't experienced any incline in that area and it's hurting my marriage. Some days I wanna unalive, some days I wanna cry all day, some days I just sit and feel sorry for myself. It's a terrible feeling because I actually sought out help, paying a buttload of money, and still don't feel good...... I'm on my 2nd round of pellets and my periods are so much worse now too. Each. month they are heavier, longer, more emotionally draining and I literally become another human being than no one can be around.

    • @Katepwe
      @Katepwe 2 месяца назад

      Pellets are a form of hormone replacement therapy although not one that is generally recommended by most menopause practitioners. Transdermal (a gel or cream applied topically) is the preferred method along with body identical progesterone if you still have a uterus. Testosterone can also be offered if needed.

    • @maryclairehavermd8473

      Dr. Haver usually prescribes transdermal estradiol patches and oral micronized progesterone as well as vaginal estradiol cream (used locally it is not absorbed systemically). A menopause educated doctor should be able to help you with this. Here is an article to help you find a menopause educated doctor. There are also telemedicine options in case you live in an area that doesn't have a lot of choice in doctors.

    I seriously wonder if menopause is actually the beginning stages of the female human dying because in the past women didn't live as long as we do now , aren't we all just artificially extending our life past our expiration date? And menopause is our body telling us that it's almost time to go? Because none of these bizarre symptoms and unnecessary suffering makes sense!

    • @niebieskimotyl3308

    • @daysoftheboo

      @@niebieskimotyl3308 but that doesn't answer the question if menopause is realistically the dying process of the female human, are we supposed to die and we're just prolonging our existence with modern medicine? I personally am not afraid of death but I am terrified of suffering I don't want to suffer, but it seems like many women are choosing suffering instead of naturally dying is that what's really going on???

    • @gailgrigg
      @gailgrigg 2 месяца назад

      Look up The Grandmother Hypothesis-human females are only one out of a couple mammalian species that can live well beyond their reproductive years. Why might that be the case? One theory why human females can live well beyond their reproductive fertility years is that human infants are very labor intensive to raise and it takes many many years before the infant reaches adulthood. So the theory is that, from a species-wide/evolutionary perspective, it was advantageous for human females to continue living beyond their own years of fertility in order to provide the necessary additional support to younger mothers still in their reproductive years to ensure survival of those younger mothers’ offspring.

    • @daysoftheboo
      @daysoftheboo 2 месяца назад

      @@gailgrigg I've heard of that theory but I don't believe it
      I don't think humans were meant to have so many children either
      Out of all species the human child is the most difficult and longest to raise , animal children are so much easier there has to be a reason why human children were made to be so difficult, even human pregnancy is damaging and stressful on the human female , before modern medicine women did die at a certain age , the longer you live the more your body falls apart
      If we didn't have modern medicine today would we still be living this long? Look at all the people that should have died from a heart attack or died from other conditions yet they still live because they're preserved by modern medicine, sometimes I see fragile old weak people and I think why is this person still alive just suffering trapped in their old debilitated body
      Menopause from everything I've heard sounds like punishment of living too long but I still wonder if it's the beginning stages of the dying process for the female human
      I remember my pets before they died they also went through stages
      Not exactly similar to menopause but menopause itself makes no sense as being something natural
      And if it is natural that doesn't mean that it's a good thing, we can say cancer is natural that doesn't make it a good thing, I personally hope that one day soon assistant euthanasia will be legal in all 50 states of America because people should have the right to leave and not suffer
      Instead being forced to continue prolonging the existence of suffering
