@@JustBlueFish I’m afraid I’m done watching. You’re in depth reviews of watches in your hand are great. But spewing bs about watches you’ve not seen is beneath you. lol nice video, good to see someone speak the truth about recent rolex releases and how rolex treat their loyal customers. and this is coming from long time rolex collector and number one fanboy for 15 years. shame on rolex.
Love it!! Call it the way it is. One Rolex watch that seem to be different is the Green bezel Submariner. Nobody is talking about it but that new green seem a bit more vibrant. I always loved the green bezel sub.
I like 1908 but will never spend that kind of scratch for it. No idea why they would discontinue a 39mm Explorer then put out a 40mm. But meh. Titanium should've gone on a Sub or a Sea Dweller. The OP and Datejust "cartoon editions" are hideous. The Platinum Daytona is exquisite but waaaaay outta my league.
Thanks for this video, Guy. My Rolex story: I ordered a 124060 or 124270 from my Rolex AD on Mar 4th, it’s been 6 weeks, he said I will get the call within 12mo. Ugh. To get on “the wait list” I bought a Norqain & a Grand Seiko from same AD - Aaron
sounds like the same story I've heard dozens of times. its been a few years since I asked to be put on the list for a GMT Master II Pepsi lol, still not call on that one.
Lol you had me laughing there!! Poking fun at AD silliness lol.. I am lucky to have a really great relationship with 3 ADs and have gotten desirable pieces from all of them but I still of course love the accuracy of what you’ve said for the majority of AD scenarios …. But anyway, I’ve been randomly wondering this.. The AD you got your 116610ln from back in 2017-2018 or whenever it was (I’ve been around your channel since then!) and Im curious about your BLRO jubilee journey.. You had a good relationship with those folks and that’s a grail of yours right?! I feel like surely you should have it offered to you anytime by now, no?! Or are you no longer as in love with it anymore.. jus being nosy!
I’ve bought 3 watches from that AD, 2 Rolex and a Cartier. When I asked to be put on the list for the BLRO I thought maybe a year or so… it’s been like what, 4 or 5 years now, no call.
@@JustBlueFish damn!! Well I hope you get it, you don’t strike me as the begging type but hell ask them again - surly they have to know you’re a genuine collector ie a proper candidate - either way I’d love to see you get it after all this time
I agree with everything you said..I find it difficult to get excited over watches that I will never get at retail and having to deal with greasy Rolex AD's who tell you that you need a $100K spend just to get on a list for a Daytona,Pepsi etc...I think most genuine watch collectors are tired of it. I would really like to know how many people would want them if when you walked out of the store they were worth 20-30 % less than what they just paid for it.
You forgot the new yellow gold GMT with the bezel designed by a committee. Half the Rolex design committee wanted to bring back the black bezel while the other half wanted to respect the 2 color bezel for the GMT line, so they compromised.
@JustBlueFish Watch Reviews That's why the demand is there. I got my new Sub a month ago, so you can buy them, just not walk in. Agree on the Tudor though too. Seiko had a 37mm SKX so a smaller dive watch isnt new, just hype to sell for small wrists, like the over hyped Explorer 36mm is too.
Loved this video so much, and here’s the reason: watch content right now is FAR too laudatory. I’m tired of the kissing up to brands. Best in the business right here.
Gave up on Rolex a while ago. I'm all about Casio, vintage seiko, Omega, Grand Seiko, Cartier, JLC... the list goes on... there is definitely a life beyond Rolex
@@JustBlueFish for me it's simple. Availability and value for money. With rolex you don't get either of those things. I can't afford it, and to search for it, so the fun is taken away

Dude 👏🏼 this is by far your best video yet. 😂 keep them coming!
I think I speak for at least one other person when I say DO MORE RANT VIDEOS! Ty.
Haha, I don’t have that much to rant about unfortunately.
Almost as dull as Rolex watches, Rolex hate videos. Cheap low blow from someone who usually appears to be above this dross.
Thanks for watching!

we don't need them to waste money to innovate or to make new models. we need them to make more of the same.
that's the truth.
Thank you for your honesty and for an entertaining assessment!
Hope you enjoyed it!
100% agree. Thanks for taking the time.

The only rolex I ever liked was the Milgauss Z blue. But it's gone now
That one was cool. Too bad it’s gone.
Guy, the Daytona rant was spectacular!!! 😂
Thanks glad you enjoyed it.
You're trying too hard to be anti-rolex, tone it down a bit

Rolex is for display only not allowed to be purchase . Just see not buy .
Rolex is the best factory made watch on Earth... most of the time. Worth it?
Yep, that about sums it up for me too!

Why aren’t you the head of marketing of Rolex?
Love the candor!
Thanks for that.

They’re good watches. No shame in owning a few. But as a brand they’re just not doing anything interesting lately - including sell watches.
