MY PROFILE:
I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn't have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors. I have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey...it should be an honest and fun ride!

I've been using the Hybrid Hunters around my area and caught a nice 6.17 lber. After experimenting with them, I can truly say they do work if they are not used like crankbaits. Now our lakes around here do not have a lot of vegetation, so I've been using them around flats going out to the main channels that are around 2' to 5' deep and they do work. Keep up the great content and love your channel. Thanks.
I fished with it yesterday during a club tournament. Typical Florida Kissimmee grass lines and pads. My co-angler couldn’t believe I was dragging it through the grass without getting hung up! It’s my go-to lure.

I’m $100 in hybrid hunters and not very successful with it. I’ve watched the videos multiple times. One or two lakes you tore em up in a video. I know it’s me but having hell learning it. 🍀🎣🍻
Because I fish highland reservoirs I haven't tried the hybrid hunter. Seems more like a grass bait to me. I might try one if I can catch them on sale. Great videos Todd.

I just want to say took a few days to figure the hybrid hunter out but wow once you do it's hard to put it down. It will out fish most other lures. Ps my buddy can't stand it cause he gets it hung in the grass. I catch 10 to his 1. Love this bait. Thanks for showing all your videos on it. I know why your were reluctant to share this bait.

Hybrid Hunters are awesome anywhere! They come through lay downs like a 4x4 and the bass always try to kill them when they hit them
i caught a good one this year on guntersville with the chartreuse black jr. on a hump that KVD burnt up during a bassmaster event years ago.
I've been getting to know the hybrid hunter this year and have really come to appreciate it. I like the way I can finesse it through shallow brush. Awesome weed bait too.

Funny this video came out today. Threw my 1st HH today on my lunchbreak session. Didn't catch any, but i like the bait. I'll definitely keep trying it.

Oh boy. The HH is my favorite bait. Catches straight donkeys. I love fishing it unconventionally. I throw it on a 7’5” MH M Legend Tournament light flipping rod. No issues on cracking them good when they hit.

I don’t have videos, but I work offshore. I keep a few on the boat for catching reds while at the dock. I’ve caught multiple cobia, snapper, mahi, tuna, etc while throwing them around offshore.
I caught some on rip rap in a river last week. Love the hybrid hunter. I always have one tied on.
I did watch your videos of the hybrid hunter ( I have a bunch now I fish fla always catch on them love them just as much as a frog !!! ) although in NY striper fishing salt water we used a deal called metal lipped swimmer it’s the similar but for targeting stripers in the 10-50 lb class !!! They were like 8-12 inches long
Taking these Hybrid Hunter with me to Lake St Clair for the Bassmaster Open just in case I get into some shallow water grass areas.
Not much grass in the lakes i fish but they will hammer it bringing by a dock, i always have one tied on.
Works great coming thru brush out here in AZ.
I am working to figure the hybrid Hunter out still. I have caught some bass a couple of years ago on Rayburn ripping it out of patches of grass, super shallow. I know live in DFW and working to make the HH my go to pond bait, but it’s hard to beat the drop shot.
I got more fish on my bully hybrid hunters than any other bait this year easily

Todd, i got a question. Not a scope solution but what if one of the tournament orgs went to the electronic companies n said, "we're thinking about banning FFS bc viewership in the dirt, co angler participation tanking, kids n dreamers thinking they cant make it bc $$$, household names n fan favs getting pushed out, pros saying this n that...etc."
Electronic companies might say, " wish u wouldnt ban it bc we give u a lot of money, others might follow suit, u got 100 elites, ? BPT, 200 open anglers, etc w 20-50k n electronics that equals multiple millions n sales yearly, every kid n dreamer asking for FFS for Christmas, n there might be a whole bunch of used units for sale for cheap if banned"
Then the tournament org might say, " ok, we'll consider keeping it if the electronic companies can make top level entry fees go away and payouts go way up for the guys that are free marketing catching mega bags w it n probably a big reason sales r booming n showing the fishing world how good the tech really is?"
If they ban it, pros save a lot of money, parents save money, junior high highschool bass clubs save money, dream seems closer.
If the electronic companies bite, it's better payouts, no entry fees, bigger dreams, n maybe the next GOAT decides to take a chance bc financially the decision looks better.
No alterior motives here. Just a humble fishing fan.

This is some dumb stuff I did as a kid with Tiny Torpedo’s, I Carolina rig it and bring it across the bottom. I think Chatterbaits are falling off they are used so much. Hybrid Hunters on grass are definitely at the top of the list.

I bought my first hybrid hunter after I first saw you fish with it quite a while back I like the junior size best of all I haven’t used the junior shallow, but I’ve got to get a rod to throw one of those things on I’m really in need of a new Rod.can ya help a 😁 brother Texan out!👍

Do you have a problem with them pulling off on that pitching/flipping stick and having trebles on the bait? I signed up a few days ago and checked out the rod. Sounds wild using a MH fast action rod. I use parabolic rods on my treble hook baits except for the ones I twitch to impart action, like medium size topwaters and jerkbaits. Those I’m using a Medium power, moderate fast rod. Big walking topwaters MH/MF.
I guess I’ve been doing it wrong cause I haven’t caught any on it.
To be fair I haven’t thrown it a whole lot . Just can’t figure out when and where to throw it. Kinda of wondering if it just isn’t that good where I fish.
