@@TomSparkReviews Don't we lose some security that way though? Isn't it better to keep private emails more secure in a separate place? (ultimately). I'm not sure but I think Startmail can be configured to send you an email when there's a new one in your Startmail inbox. This intrigues me as I wouldn't need to access it very often anyway, so keeping it separate with the notification of new mail might solve the issue.....?
@@chickadddee No. A mail client provides a more direct connection to the mail service by passing any web access issues. And since mobile clients like K9/Thunderbird for android or canary mail for iOS can separate mail accounts and show separate notifications, you should be set.
ah ok I was not sure, I thought they were just changing the name , so I guess it would be pointless to sign up tonight eh ? its still showing that I can sign up as of 10 PM New York time @@TomSparkReviews
@@WhiteoutSnowy I would not be surprised if Notion remodels and integrate Skiff technologies and relaunch their spin as NotionMail with a couple years.
Already lost me the moment you said they're the same creators behind startpage. Start page literally treats normal everyday traffic like it's a bot. I and countless others have actually been locked out for an entire 24 hours just for using startpage to browse the internet. So if you do not want a service to treat you like a bot, I wouldn't use startmail.
Startmail states that they do have the same founders as Startpage, but that StartMail is a separate company and operates independently from System1. System1/Privacy One Group did not invest in/does not own StartMail. Take it for what it's worth.
unlimited aliases is definitely worth the price
I had to close 2 group accounts because Startmail's pgp passphrases wouldn't reset.
How would you compare skiff to tutanota?
Skiff already had filters
Can Startmail be set up directly in the apple mail app on my iphone?
Yes
