Engaged in Formula 3, Formula 2 and Formula 1 racing, Matra won 13 French and European championship titles and the supreme title of World Drivers' and Constructors' Champion in 1969 with the MS 80 single-seater driven by Jackie Stewart. With the second Sport-Prototypes film, we will relive the exceptional saga of the Matra team from 1966 to 1974, crowned by three victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1972, 1973 and 1974 and by two titles of World Champion of Sport-Prototype Constructors in 1973 and 1974. Rich in unpublished documents, these films showcase these magnificent blue single-seaters and prototypes that still arouse admiration.
They offer us an exceptional cast with the exclusive presence of Jean-Luc Lagardère, drivers Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Henri Pescarolo, Johnny Servoz-Gavin, Jean-Pierre Jaussaud, Jackie Stewart, journalists Johnny Rives and Gérard Crombac, engineers and technicians Bernard Boyer, Jean-Louis Caussin, Georges Martin, Robert Choulet, Jean-Marc Zignani, Gérard Ducarouge, Jacques Hubert and many key players in the history of Matra such as Ken Tyrrell, Philippe Guédon, Jean-François Robin, Michèle Dubosc, Paul Carillo, Roland Roy etc.

Autre époque où l'ingénierie Française rayonnait . Qui a entendu un v12 Matra ne l'oubliera jamais.
Glad I saw them in 70’s & 80’s love that Matra V12 …nothing like it since!
You were there ! Superb !
Dont forget Bugatti, Talbot, de la Haye. French makes have always been present in the top of motorsports.
Très instructif merci beaucoup
... and they created the 'vibraphone missile lounge Jazz'. The history, the company, the political power and influence of their chairmen ... Henri Pescarolo. No one could think up a more intriguing story containing all the frenchest of french elements in its time. Not even Graham Greene, who undoubtedly doubled Graham Hill at 42:16. Thankyou for the version in English.
The exact opposite of modern day drivers from me to Mr Steward,,,,, my utmost respect.
Wonderful video, thank you for sharing! Superb!
Pas arrivé au bout
Le son sur la deuxième partie est totalement merdique : musique et bruit d’ambiance sont plus forte que la narration. Super chiant pour une histoire passionnante
Dommage
The 650/670 were beautiful looking cars that sounded even better, but it helps to win LeMans when you ban your chief rival for being too good at winning races so that you can walk over the weaker competition
Very well, but already at 2:06 German Junkers is mispronounced as if the name originated from junk.
I agree Matra Djet was the first mid-engined road-going series-production car, however, not holding the title alone - instead, together (deuce in time: 1964-66) with De Tomaso Vallelunga.
Pas pu visionner la seconde partie. J'ai liké mais... inaudible.
quelle excuse bidon... Nan mais vous exagérez quand même
