When I got my current cat, Newt, I trained him to wait for the alarm. To do this the first couple weeks I had him, when he woke me up early, I would ignore him, grab my phone and set a timer. I would then continue to ignore him until the timer went off. When it went off, I would get up, play with him, feed him, and go back to sleep. The first morning the timer was 10 minutes, and every morning I would go five minutes longer. It only took him about a week to know he has to wait for the alarm. For the first few months, I set the alarm early and just went back to bed after feeding. Also for the first few months he would be awake and playing (not on the bed) and as soon as he heard the alarm he would jump on my bed and remind me it’s time to eat. After about three months, he started sleeping until the alarm whenever it might go off... Now I have a regular alarm at the same time everyday... Even on weekends... Neither of us ever sleep through it, and if one of us wakes up before the alarm, we wait for the alarm before getting up.
This is awesome, and the exact same thing I do as well. I use one of those daylight alarm clocks (that wake you up by slowly glowing brighter and brighter, mimicking a sunrise), and it still works for both of my cats :)
I have a touch lamp on my bedside and my cat Gracie has figured out she can turn it on with her nose so she turns it on in the middle of the night when she wants something 🤦🏼♀️
I'd be the happiest guy in town if my cat let me sleep till six. Our kitty's alarm goes off at THREE A M EVERY DAY. It's like she works in a bakery and wants me to know it's time to make the donuts.
I agree. 4 o clock is my cats feeding time. But he wants me to be there to watch him or he wont eat. I leave food out but he wants me there. He also often wants 2am and 6am feeds but they can vary in their timing. The cat is a rescued feral cat and its fully mature. It really is just like having a baby!
That’s exactly the time our 4 1/2 month old kitten wakes up without fail and then he won’t go back to sleep until 9am. Has your cat started to sleep through the night?
Mine is almost 9 and he’s been waking me up between 3 and 3:30A every night for as long as I can remember. At one point we took him to the vet to see if maybe there was something wrong with him. The vet suggested we add a feeding before bed (we don’t leave food out) and that worked to push the time to about 4:30/5A. About 2 years in, I started getting up at 5:30 for work and would feed him then. In 2020 when I was forced to WFH, he would wake me up a little earlier after he figured out I wasn’t getting up at 5:30 anymore. But it was at the earliest 4:30. Over the last 5 weeks he’s back to 3:30 and frequently will wake me up even earlier for no good reason. I refuse to feed him prior to 3:30A but there’s nights he’ll cry, knock things over and hit the blinds for hours. We do playtime before bed and feedings to no avail.
@@staceycook6404 He’s waking up at 4am now and wants company to play or just hang out. Unfortunately we can’t get him a cat friend, otherwise things would be better. Also we free feed him his dry food and leave wet food, ( regularly changed), out for him, as that’s helped others with their cats problems, as they will go and graze and then go back to sleep. That kind of does help him.
I am so blessed, because my cat just stays at my bed all night long and doesn't wake me up. She is noticing it directly when I am awake and then she immediately wants her attention by meowing above my head. But it doesn't matter if it is 7am or 10am, she just waits till I am awake. Precious little girl.
@ItS nOt A pRoBlEm AnYmOrE She doing good thanks for asking! She doing better some nights I’m been able to sleep through the night which is awesome so we’re making progress!!!!
We just adopted a cat and we struggle so much by her endless/ meaningless meowing in middle of night… and I was watching this video 4am in the morning. And guess what? Jackson, it worked! It took us a week but instead of meowing for heckling nothing, now she come in the bed and gives us cuddles … I’ve never had a cat before so I wasn’t sure what to do but hey, I just believed YOU! And it WORKED! Thank you so much!!!
So funny! My cat wants me to go to sleep! Since the first day of her coming home, she sat on the bed next to my head. If I open my eyes, she takes her paw, no claws, and closes my eyes...one at a time! When my eyes are closed, she will lay down by my head and curl up , start purring and sleep. Always in my right! The second I have to wake up to pee, unless I say pee, she will try to close my eyes again. Not until daylight will she let me wake up! Lol if I want to sleep in, she will run around do her thing and wait for me! Cutie pie!
@@davidpaul7269 that’s your problem! Lol I am not concerned.Truth has its own reward. And I certainly don’t look for that reward from anyone, especially types like you.🤣🤣
@@davidpaul7269 I believe them. Getting tired of people online labeling every personal comment or story a lie just because they themselves can't handle someone having a different experience than them.
🙀 don’t know if that scares me or makes me happy... I want him to stop knocking things off shelves and settle a bit more... I also like the idea of him being playful years from now 😂
@@talesofmichele knocking things off shelves is a “kitty thing “. All the cats I’ve had do that, though these 2 are the only ones I’ve had that disrupt my sleep.
I will say, as I have to get up at like 6, 6:30 in the morning, and my boy Freddie bugging me in the morning has actually saved my ass getting to work on time 🤣 I think we can all agree, there is no alarm clock more persistent than a house cat!
I'm so proud of my cats! This morning at 5.45 I was woken by two little people sitting on top of me politely growling - and Yep! - there was a stranger on my property - early delivery man - they really do only wake me if their worried
I'm glad I was right in thinking, "I should ignore her when she starts meowing at 4AM so that she knows it's not good behavior," so I'll start on that! I have my alarm set for 7:21AM with the snooze for nine minutes, and that's when I get up to feed her. Good to know it shouldn't take too long for a kitty to learn the pattern, so thank you!
My Precious 21, and My Sissy 14 both in their youth tried to get my attention when I wanted to sleep. But I ignored them. Even though they knew I was awake, I said and did nothing. Eventually they would just snuggle up to me and wait it out. I miss my Precious. I still have my Sissy with me and thank Every day I have her with me. Love your channel 😻
So I thought I was already ‘ignoring’ my cat but watching this video made me realise I was probably still giving him negative attention when I was pushing him off me as he would paw at me and sit on my head 🤪 Anyway I literally played dead last night and even though for about 5-10 mins he was trying to wake me up eventually he gave up(usually it’s on and and off for hours!) - best night sleep I’ve had in a while. Also did a big play session right before bed too which seemed to help - thank you!!
I really like how ADHD friendly this advice is. Rituals and routines are so important for me. Here's hoping I can get my six year old newly adopted angel to let me sleep through the night lol.
My cat started doing this right when I adopted him, but as he settled into his new surroundings he's calmed down quite a bit. Usually only takes a few minutes of ignoring him before he settles back down. I still find it really hard not to laugh when I'm trying to ignore him and he ever-so-gently touches my cheek though.
When Jackson says "We have to coax them into our rhythm", I answer: "Whenever possible, let's have a nap after lunch with our cat in the bed" so that adaptation goes both ways ;-)
I usually take a nap (or at least relax on the bed while he naps) with mine after work. That possibly helps to make him less demanding at night and in the morning.
Im 76 , I have had cats All my life ! along side Mice < horses , many dogs ,wild birds ,I I specialised in feral cats .. mostly toms ... sadly at the end of their lives , but also kittens .. totally feral , with great success! During covid lock down , I got so lonely I realise I needed an animal for company. after a great deal of thought , I thought , as I am a wee bit antique, the best animal was a cat ? I looked at the on line data of our local Sanctuary and kept noticing a pair of cats ... longest residents ... litter mates ,They had been in care for5 + yrs !! The sanctuary decided that despite lockdown , I could apply!! They checked me out and allowed me to take these weird pair!! They ... are a true delight !! and will be with me till I , or they die !! BUT I would be so grateful for your imput to make their lives even better ! as they display so many problems that are at worst, conflicting ... and at best ..... v difficult !!
I’m also 76, and a first time cat owner. He’s about one year, full of energy, full of fun, wakes me up at all hours, but especial 3:30 or 4:00. I’m fine with it. COVID is a beach. He reminds me that when things get tough, the tough play.
Hi - you are such a terrific person. i sooo wish i lived in the country, i'd be doing what you are doing.(as a kid i was always acquiring lost dogs and cats andmy mom had to find out who they beonged to :} it is sooo frustrating not to be able to live the way i want to. anyway, i'm an antique, also. i love saying that. i now have 3 older (rescue) cats and wonder if i should get another pet after they leave me. it's quite a quandary as i do NOT want to live without an animals or two in my life. could you let us know the other problems you're having with your little guys? Keep safe 🐈🐢🐞🐕🐿🐸🐦🌱🌷
Glad I rewatched this now that it applies to me and my cat. Last night I chased her out of my bedroom and closed the door, and finally got a few hours of sleep. I was thinking that’s what I have to do now, but felt bad about it. So I won’t do it again. What you said about the 3 R’s makes a lot of sense. Being ADHD, I have a lot of difficulty with, and need for the R’s myself, and this gives me more motivation to implement it!
The crepuscular awakening is really rooted in a cat's mind. The only time I have seen my own Choupette go into a morning panic is the day I stayed in a hotel room at night with her, and the blinders prevented any light to enter the room. In the morning, around her usual waking up time, she clearly got anxious. She asked to go outside and I took her for a walk on a leash in the corridor (again no windows): she was still anxious after two explorations of the floor. Then I took her downstairs (only windows close to the door): she settled down a little. It is only when I opened the blinders that she cooled down in less than a minute! Then I understood what was happening: for the first time in her life, the sun was not in sync with her internal clock...
Oh I would take a 6am wake up call anytime. My cat used to wake me up at 3:30am in the morning. When you're in deep sleep and you cat has a wailing meow....coming out of unconscious is a kin to a scene from some Korean horror movie enough to scare the s**t out of you!
Omg same. My cat has been waking me up at 3 AM every night for like a month now and, sleep deprivation aside, it's seriously giving me anxiety listening to his awful wailing, so disturbing. I really hope he grows out of it asap
I'm glad he said not to shut the door, my cat doesn't care if we leave him home alone, but if we shut the bedroom door on him in the morning he will literally stress vomit outside because he knows we're in there and he can't get to us.
I'm glad to hear that the "revenge vomit" thing isn't exclusive to my cat 😿 We've tried for 2 years to get the cats on a schedule. The other 2 have adjusted, the one refuses... 😩
One of my cats headbutts me, trying to get me up. If that fails, he goes around my bedroom, knocking things off until I get up. If I go back to bed, he lands on my chest and starts kneading and suckling on the blankets making loud sucking and purring noises.
With three cats, if I ignore one, the next one starts. LOL I've solved the problem by the absolute craziest solution ever. I mean, folks thing I'm absolutely insane for doing this, but I've found that it works. I get up, I use the bathroom, and then..........I feed them. All three cats. Whenever the 20 year old cat wakes me up, that's when everybody gets fed. 4, 5, 6am - whatever it is. She wakes me up, I have to use the bathroom anyway, so I might as well feed them. Then I go back to sleep and everybody's happy. It interrupts my sleep for about 10 minutes, then I'm back in bed. Works every time.
Due to Covid 19, in an effort to socially distance my husband's work team, the group has been split into two teams, one that works from 6 am to 2 pm and one that works from 12 pm to 8 pm. My husband now gets up at 4:30 am. The cats are thrilled! They seem to think that they have finally convinced one of us to get up at a reasonable hour to feed hungry kitties! He doesn't feed them until the 5 am hour but it does let the rest of us sleep!
I was getting up for work at 4:30am 1 of my work days per week, my cats were so excited to get fed that early. But then they wanted that everyday. So I stopped feeding them on my early day, they get fed at their regular time by my son each day. They usually let me sleep until 8:30am... but some days..... ugh....
My 13 year old cat still hasn't stopped even with me ignoring him! He's persistent in everything he does so I attribute it to his personality in general.
I have a 12yr old Main Coon mix, he is very headstrong too. I get the 6am wake up too. I ignore him, he does not care. I also attribute it to his personality. Leo is the smartest cat that I have ever come across
@@luckyduck_. oh yes, he just wants attention all the time. When visitors come over, the other cats hide, but he greets them at the door and crawls all over them!
Thank you Jackson. I’m sitting here watching this with red blurry eyes. My sons 10 month old kitty wakes me at 4 am every single day by attacking my fingers. We do not allow hand play. He has many toys. Hand are for love, not chomping. This happens after I ignore him, he resorts to this. I’ll try this, thanks again.
My cat Huehue wakes me up at 3:30 or 4:00. I love it. Stuck pandemicly alone, he’s a welcome addition to my morning. He climbs onto me and pats me down with an enthusiasm it’s hard to discourage. Different strokes for different cat folks.
My new cat started meowing at 4:40, now is 6:16 and she still hasn’t stop(only giving like 5 minutes breaks between each section of meowing). I am a very light sleeper. I am desperate. I hope this works in a few nights
6 or 7. thats the time i have to wake up for work. I wouldn't even need to remember to charge my phone for my alarm. Mine wakes me up all hours of the night.
Jackson, you are a treasure!! Thank you for your, patience, passion, humor, common CAT sense, and being a bridge to sanity with our fur children. You are the best.
6:47. Omg I would kill for 6:47. Mine is 3:30 in the morning. 4:30 on a good day. I haven't been this sleep deprived since my youngest was a baby. That was 35 years ago. I'm too old for this. And forget ignoring him because my ears get shredded with teeth and claws, until I get up. My arms are covered in cuts. Even my vet is out of ideas.
OMG, this is just the kind of content I'm looking for!!, My cat just doesn't stop meowing every day at 5 am, and my husband and I are getting crazy! Thank you Jackson 😫😫😫
I get up when they wake us up, put them out of the bedroom until it’s 8:15. The cats are used to the routine and sometimes they don’t even wake us up until after 8 am. I have the purrfect cats ❤️🐾
I have recently watched some videos of you, and I just can’t stop watching them! Besides giving useful tips, you make me laugh a lot. Lots of love from Puerto Rico!
One of my cats does this. Ignoring her does the trick. She deliberately walks on me, pulls my long hair and rips up tissues. When nothing works she goes to lie down between my legs and waits until I get up.
I've mostly accepted I'm not going to get out of feeding my cats at 5-6 am and switched my focus more towards teaching myself to go back to sleep after and rewarding them for waking me up nicely with snuggles instead of being noisy
I am hand raising three orphaned kittens. They are around 7 - 8 weeks old now and for the last few days they let me sleep through the night. REALLY hope this behavior continues, I already lost a lot of sleep because of them😄but it was (and is!) a great experience. They are little terrors throughout the day, but that's okay ❤️ they are just so full of energy.
Great question and great answers. My cat does the same, lol. Each and every day, 6-7 am... Useful during the week, but the weekends, not so much! Thanks again for that great question and the much appreciated answers!
Thanks for the tips Jackson. My cat Uh Oh is driving me crazy. I live in an apartment so it’s extra tough because my neighbors can hear her. She’ll meow for over an hour omg. I’ll try this for sure too. You’re looking great!
I adopted a 4-year-old cat about 2 months ago after I got my own apartment. I don’t allow him in the bedroom/bathroom area (I’m a light sleeper) but I make sure to give him plenty of attention after I get home from work. We have a routine and after we play and I feed him at night, he voluntarily goes to his “bed-“ the couch! Every now and then he will meow at the door, but the routine really works for the both of us, and I just prefer not having him in my room
I’m the same way! It just takes persistence! I promise, it will get better if you have a routine! Also, I just rescued a kitten a few weeks ago and my cat loves him so now I don’t feel bad for shutting him out 😊
Put a tall cat tree in your bedroom. I did this a few weeks ago and now my cat prefers to sleep on the top platform instead of on my bed... for the most part. He still wakes me up around 5:30am everyday for breakfast. I feed him and go right back to bed.
My sister's cat, got up at 5am or so every morning, and then went out. Eventually my sister realised the cat was being bullied by a gingercat, but if he went out early he could do the rounds of his territory and avoid meeting them...
oh my goodness that is so precious he did that ! 😌 bless his wee heart! 🐈❤️ I hope he's able to go out normally now and not being scared by the other kitty! ❤️
@@Sssssssslf Unfortunately he was found dead, there were no signs of violence, maybe it was a stroke or a heart attack or something. It was very sad. 😢 She's got another kitty now.
@@BooBaddyBig oh my god noooo tears in my eyes reading your comment! 😰 that is absolutely heart breaking! what could have happened to him?! was he a senior kitty? did your sister not get a post mortem done on him to find out what may have caused his death? how tragic that he died alone outside on his own the poor wee angel! I hope nothing bad happened to him and that it was quick and painless and he had no idea about it oh my gosh so sad 😔💔
Thank you. I hope I can get some sleep tonight. My cat wanted to play at 4 this morning, and I just did all that you said that I shouldn't do! I will now seriously ignore her totally. 🙂
Like...what if they NEVER stop meowing in order for you to reward them when they stop? 😂 I'm laughing but I'm actually crying on the inside. My 10 year old boy is relentless.
So... My family is screwed til I move then. My dad definitely won't buy into not shouting at her, and my bedroom is too small for her the whole night (no spots to even set up vertical movement, I'm using basically all the available room already) Fun. Least that shouldn't be more than 2 to 4 months from now...
I am such a fan of yours! Have been for a long time. You’ve taught me so much about how to be a good cat mom 😻 thank you! My baby girl Binx thanks you too!! 🙏🐈
Ohh I’m so glad I came across this! Glad to hear they grow out of it 😂 I’ll give her a treat if she’s quiet…when we get up an hour later she sleeps 😂 ugghh
I'm surprised he didn't mention getting an automatic feeder. Lock your cat out of your room, set the feeder for around when you get up, and leave your room after the feeder goes off. That way you are minimizing the cat's association between you and food in the morning. That was the only thing that got my cat to quit waking me up.
Myself and my guests can't sleep EVER!!! It's not for food... she hates the doors being closed... all doors. But people want privacy! Help! X.x She will take her nails and grab the underside of the door and pull so it makes a loud thumping that sounds like someone breaking in. If that doesn't work or we try to ignore it, she starts screaming really loud. My door is always open to her so I don't lock her out of my room. But at night she isn't allowed into guests rooms and she hates it.
@@giulias.5104 cats don’t like closed doors. They wanna know they can have access to view the territory what’s going on and to be with their human. For a little over a week we changed our cats (Evie and Lupe) feeding strategy from free feeding to scheduled. The last meal of the day is at 8 pm, then after we wake up and drink a coffee we will feed them again (around 5am). Lupe (less than a year old) wakes up at 3 am every day. First, she was throwing pencils to the floor and walking on top of us so that we will wake up and feed her. We ignored her for a couple of days and she stopped doing that. However, her new strategy is to attack Evie (over 3 years old) from 3 am until we wake up. She will attack Evie for over an hour our two if it is necessary, and will only stop as soon as we wake up. We live in an apartment so it is hard not to do anything to stop them fighting because the neighbors can hear them. We still drink our coffee and wait a while to feed them. But we are really exhausted of waking up at 3 am every day. What can we do 😭?? Please we need help!!!
Thank you so much. Clifford woke me up at 4:30 am which resulted in a migraine. Today I played with him so much and gave him lot of affection this evening and now he’s sleeping. Hoping this will work
I had cats all my life but when I had my first non fur baby, I was without for about seven years. I had forgotten how much attention they really require. My last two were 12and 14. They were pretty much a furry pillow. Thank you for reminding me about all the little things that really make kitty happy and healthy
Perfect time for this video, we just got a new kitten 2 days ago and she attacks the blankets and our toes to wake us up. Our other cat has interactive toys that he learned how to “turn on” so he lets us sleep at least xD We will probably get a couple more and try to teach her how to use them because that helped our other cat a lot in being quiet at night time
The thing that helped me when my cat was waking me up every morning at 5:30am was getting an automatic feeder, and setting the first feeding for 5:30. now the food doesn't come from me, so he's not trying to wake me up. he gets up, eats, and comes back to bed until i get up and feed him his wet food. I highly recommend it.
Omg my cat never lets me sleep and I hear him playing with toys jumping on the window perch, chattering, meowing at 5:30am, nipping my feet with his teeth for me to get up and let him out to eat. I’m going to try this for sure!
Thank you so much, Jackson, for this one! And thank you, Anael, for bringing up the subject! We’ve just adopted a cat about Chyna’s age (they’ve calculated 2 to 3 years to Lucio. He was found wandering around, but he seems to be a “home cat” - I’m not sure if that’s the right term for it) and we’re having to deal with that same problem. I’ll talk to my husband and son and will ask them to see this particular video, to make our own RRR. I really hope this will help us! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My cat lets me sleep until she's ready to eat and play at usually around 7 AM. Sometimes 6. My girl is almost 4 and shows no signs of growing out of it yet. She's also a people cat as in she's not a lap cat, but she needs to be near at least one of her humans. She sleeps either on my bed or my parents bed at night and isn't really happy if she can't do so. Her previous home was abusive, and she and I have bonded pretty closely.
Every time when you’re make a video, it’s the solution that i searched for a friend , perfect timing, thanks Jackson 😁. P.s. sorry my english is not the best.
your English is fine. i worked in a bilingual Italian/american school for 6 years and could still only talk like a 2 y.o. i am not a linguist LOL except cat, i understand that very well :} 🐈😼🌷🌱
One of my kitties wakes me up several times during the night wanting his treats. When I try to ignore him, he BITES me!!! I try covering with several layers of blankets for protection, but he just BITES HARDER and his needle-teeth goes THROUGH the layers of blankets and INTO me!!! And all those blanket layers just makes me so hot that I can't sleep anyway. I cant shut him out because we have no bedroom door and cannot have one put in (it's an apartment). So...I give him his treats to keep him from biting me to death!!! This has resulted in him being even MORE spoiled AND even chubbier!!! I have started giving bits of car food in between wake times, to try to decrease the calories he is getting in the night. Since he was a bottle baby, he was/is used to me feeding him every couple of hours. Though he bothers me less during the day for food/treats, the nightly feeding demands continue. He was a year old in August. He is such a sweet boy...until you don't give him his treats in the night!!! I have the scabs and scars to prove it!!!
Hi jackson! I don't think you will read this comment, but I have to say. Wow, I absolutly love that you do this videos and put it online, free for everybody. A lot of other "trainers" just tell a little in their videos, so you can't do anything at home by yourself for free. I'm absolutly thankful about that. Greeez from switzerland :)
My cat had a sweet routine going that perfectly matched with mine. He used to sleep in our room in his own little bed and then in the morning when he heard me wake he would snuggle me for a few minutes. I think having a good sleep routine helps a lot. When I had a baby everything changed though 🤪 I have trouble finding time to play with the cat but when I can I'll take him on a walk with my baby in a carrier 😂
Neither of us ever sleep through it, and if one of us wakes up before the alarm, we wait for the alarm before getting up.
genius.
Julia Peak mine knows once my alarm goes off he gets attention or he suggests it highly that I feed him
This is awesome, and the exact same thing I do as well. I use one of those daylight alarm clocks (that wake you up by slowly glowing brighter and brighter, mimicking a sunrise), and it still works for both of my cats :)
Absolutely brilliant!
Exactly how we do it! And it works although we have two 5 months old kitten to ignore :D I recommend everyone struggeling to give this a try.
I would have no problem with ignoring meowing. What I can not ignore is our cat pouncing at my face with claws fully extended.

Yeah, only one of our cats comes every morning at 6 am and touch the face with his paw. If u do not react he will ponce on our stomachs
@Tartaglia The 11th My grandsons cat does this.
my cat dances on my full bladder.
😂 Mine too, they love escalating when they don’t get a reaction lolol

@@Sarang875mine is 3 am too I’m going bonkers ! Tried silence tried feeding her nothing !! Do you still have the problem ?
We just adopted a cat and we struggle so much by her endless/ meaningless meowing in middle of night… and I was watching this video 4am in the morning. And guess what? Jackson, it worked! It took us a week but instead of meowing for heckling nothing, now she come in the bed and gives us cuddles …
I’ve never had a cat before so I wasn’t sure what to do but hey, I just believed YOU!
Cutie pie!

Agree completely. 😂
My newly adopted 3 yr old has me finally getting 8 hrs in at work. 😂 I like going in early and getting off early. Kinda annoying on the weekends tho.

I know right. I needed to get up at 6 today, my two woke me up at 3.30!
Dido
I go to sleep at 6 am.
Yup! My pesty girl loves when I nap with her in the afternoon.
I usually take a nap (or at least relax on the bed while he naps) with mine after work. That possibly helps to make him less demanding at night and in the morning.
same here! gotta be ready for the night ahead
My adorable tortoise shell kitty "Cleo" won't stay away from me. I poop? She's there. I'm on the PC? She's there. I go to sleep? She sleeps *on* me...

heh, my cat's name is Leo. I always said if I got a girl cat I'd name her Cleo. lol
My Sheba is the same - she must be your cat's twin
My cat does that. If I’m in the shower she will sit right there and if I take long she tries to slide open the door to make sure I’m ok lol
How have they and how have you been the last couple of months?
I’m also 76, and a first time cat owner. He’s about one year, full of energy, full of fun, wakes me up at all hours, but especial 3:30 or 4:00. I’m fine with it. COVID is a beach. He reminds me that when things get tough, the tough play.

My girl just sent me this because she's tired of my complaining about my cat. I'm so damn glad that I watched this!

Also, I just rescued a kitten a few weeks ago and my cat loves him so now I don’t feel bad for shutting him out 😊
Also, earplugs will probably be your best friend right now 😊
Put a tall cat tree in your bedroom. I did this a few weeks ago and now my cat prefers to sleep on the top platform instead of on my bed... for the most part. He still wakes me up around 5:30am everyday for breakfast. I feed him and go right back to bed.

I’m curious, how are you now and did you solve this problem?
Our other cat has interactive toys that he learned how to “turn on” so he lets us sleep at least xD
We will probably get a couple more and try to teach her how to use them because that helped our other cat a lot in being quiet at night time
"Well, cockadoodledoo, let's go!" I can't stop laughing. Thank you, Jackson. 🤣
My cat, Lefty, is 5 1/2 years old and he still does this. I have to hide my hands or he makes me pet him.
Me too! I cocoon I. The blanket till he lays back down lol
I can't understand why I have a perfect cat that does all the right thing. I am so lucky! 🥰🥰🥰
7 is nothing. But we are having 4 am problems
I like the picture of cat playing guitar not letting u sleep. Its so true
Thank you. Gosh Mr. Hunter is just exactly like that a teenager, again thank you
Every time when you’re make a video, it’s the solution that i searched for a friend , perfect timing, thanks Jackson 😁. P.s. sorry my english is not the best.
your English is fine. i worked in a bilingual Italian/american school for 6 years and could still only talk like a 2 y.o. i am not a linguist LOL except cat, i understand that very well :} 🐈😼🌷🌱
I have tried locking my cat out of my room and he just scratches the door!
Yesssssss same here and it just seems I'm a main carecter in middle of the forest at pet semetary 😭
The cat has to be behind two doors in my experience.
There's no such thing as shutting a cat out of your room
@@lindaeasley5606 yeah there is. I wish I could show you mine patiently waiting to be let in right now.
@@theknightswhosay mine does the same he waits in the kitchen until I wake up it’s right outside my room lol.
How about a programmed feeder for his treats? You can even program and check on it with your phone with app related to it.
Hi jackson! I don't think you will read this comment, but I have to say. Wow, I absolutly love that you do this videos and put it online, free for everybody. A lot of other "trainers" just tell a little in their videos, so you can't do anything at home by yourself for free. I'm absolutly thankful about that.
Greeez from switzerland :)
this is really save me !!! My 4 years old kitten do the same thing with Cyna. Thaks
My cat had a sweet routine going that perfectly matched with mine. He used to sleep in our room in his own little bed and then in the morning when he heard me wake he would snuggle me for a few minutes. I think having a good sleep routine helps a lot. When I had a baby everything changed though 🤪
I have trouble finding time to play with the cat but when I can I'll take him on a walk with my baby in a carrier 😂
