    Aly- you're the OG in this genre of videos!!!
    NOBODY on this platform gives the practical advice that you give: juxtaposed with the "reasons why" as you do, and I literally learn something highly useful on every one of your videos. You have a beautiful way of communicating with your audience that just hits differently than others in this category.
    Just wanted to say thank you for that. This viewer greatly appreciates your knowledge, expertise and advice!
    (Been a sub of yours since way back before your "huge eyes" video)!

    Many people wear black to look slimmer, without realizing that this colour makes them look sick. Black isn't always the best choice.

    This is such a good video. I really like how you emphasize that each body has its own unique traits, and we can use these strategies if we want to look slimmer. I had a real wake up call when I saw my son's graduation photos with me standing next to him. I looked huge, but part of the reason was because I was wearing an oversized floral which was in style at the time. It motivated me not only to work on getting in shape and losing weight but also to study how to use fabrics to flatter my figure. I'm really glad that happened because I feel a lot healthier and more stylish now, and I've learned so much. ❤

    Hi Ally! I love your content! I’ve been following you for a while and I have a request.
    I am a breast cancer survivor who had to go through a mastectomy. Since the remaining breast is quite big, I was wondering what type of clothes might suit me. I don’t want to use any prosthetics/or other types of ‘fillings’, so I am mostly interested in some tricks that survivors can use to balance our figures when we want to do that. I am a Theatrical Romantic, but it would be great if you could give more general tips.
    It would be lovely if you could also give advice to those that had a double mastectomy.
    Thank you for all of your knowledge! ❤

    Thank you for this video. Very informative. Are there any rules on what to wear to make your profile look slimmer? Nobody seems to cover this topic. For example I am a slightly overweight soft gamine and all the SG recommendations look great on me but only from the front.

    As a possible SD with most of my overweight gathered in a belly and on my arms the struggle to dress according to my lines is real. I still have a waist but my instinct is to hide in oversized clothes which makes me look even bigger since my hips are quite wide and all shape disappears. I am wondering if dressing in more dramatic lines helps a bit it feels like it at least. I have lost some weight now so it is starting to get easier. I also realised that I need to size down if I want to buy anything that is oversized.

      Based on your weight pattern is it possible you're flamboyant natural? Bell sleeves and bell-bottoms jeans are great for balancing out and making limbs look elongated. (Not at the same time though... Might be too much lol.)

    Regarding the black&white balls example - isn't the texture what's most relevant there? Since the white is shiny, amd the black matte?
    If you were to wear matte white pants vs shiny black leather pants, would one be preferable over the other?

    • @Marina_7
      @Marina_7 Месяц назад +1

      @@j-n-y true! while shininess reflects (adds) some light/dimension - but depending on the fabric and cut, I wonder if some matte white pants may even look more slimming than shiny black leather pants, possibly

    • @astriddeslandes2373

      Probably because the background behind the balls is whitish. So the black stands out more than the white, due to the heightened contrast.
