I highly recommend this measuring tool. I used to use a Stanley tape measure but I made a switch in this brand Fastcap.
@@thewoodsmithstore yep! I love this Fastcap Pro Carpenter tape measure with fractions up to Quarter inch, 8ths of an inch and even sixteenths of an inch Fractions they're visible! Both Left and Right side fully detailed, also comes with a pencil sharpener, and you can also write your notes in this tape measure. I bought dozens of them 12 pieces 25footer. Easy to read scale numbers fractions, foots you can't go wrong with it. Unlike the traditional Stanley and DeWalt tape measure you still have to count and figure it out with this tape measure the numbers are already there. It makes my life easier as a Carpenter, Framer, Deck Builder and Home builder. And this thing is rugged too! I actually accidentally dropped this thing on the second floor it bashed on the concrete and it didn't break, no cracks and still working.
your right you can never have enough tape measures, and you need them all to take the average measurement since they are all different. I hope the fastcap solves this problem.
I'm still at a loss as to why the US of A is refusing to join the rest of the world and use METRIC. Those inch fractions are so clunky... metric is base 10, so easy to work with, add up, etc. I'm glad Fastcap does make a two sided metric-only tape measure!! Awesome.

Yeah, we should have left that in the final edit! We're pretty sure that might have contributed to the problem! :-)
Those red numbers are great for measurements within the first inch.
