    I’m right handed but i would still want to keep tape measure on my left side since my right hand makes the marking. But i dont want any dumb feet or inches on my tape. If you are measuring with body parts you dont need measuring tape

    Finally! Someone figured out how to print measurements so they can be easily read both ways!! The PSSR is amazing! I can’t believe it took this long to figure it out! Thanks Fast Cap! The rest of the tape makers Suck!

    I wish they had ONE tape with Auto-lock, magnetic tip, both sides of tape read, oversized tooth. None of the mediocre to high tier tapes incorporate all those. Fatman, Dewalt, Milwaukee, Lufkin, Klein, etc, etc... make a good tape with ALL the bells and whistles, and I'd pay $50 for it... even if I had to replace it 2x a year.
    One tape, with every feature. I have PSS, and it's OK, but since I only have use of one arm, I rarely use it. I'm stuck using reallllly low quality tapes that come with all the features I need.
    So hopefully, one day, a Super tape is made. (I'm currently waiting on one from a $$$ Japanese company, but it will not be here for a while, as I only ordered 1 tape to test. And it ended up being $63 but has every feature , including more (digital readout, waterproof, etc)... but I can't know for certain how good it is until it's in my hand.

    Have several green left/right tapes. The thumb lever clip is great and the two way scales are also. As a guy the has been reading scales for 5 decades I could do without labeling all the eights. It’s just too busy!

    Is there a metric/imperial combo without all the fractional numbering clutter?? That drives me nuts on a tape!

    • @FastCapLLC
      @FastCapLLC  Год назад +1

      @diggk1 We can pass this feedback along to our crew, sadly we don't have a combo (metric/imperial) without the fractional numbering. Most of our tape measure styles do have the fractional numbers on them, but our Old Standby Standard and True32 Metric Reverse tape measures do not have the fractional numbers on them.

  • @meowzic

    Maybe you could show 32nds on one side of the tape with numerator indicators and on the opposite side just show the 16ths? That would be a great tape. There are barely any good woodworking tapes to this accuracy and the ones I see it's hard to read.

    Family Handyman magazine March 2019 page 10, features this tape titled: EASY-READ TAPE. TAMAR HANNAH says that she "refuses to use any other tape measure. I love that it shows the fractions down to 1/16 in. right side up on both sides of the tape, which I can pull the tape from the left or the right and not have to read numbers upside down. It has an erasable writing pad, a built-in pencil sharpener and a white blade, which I prefer to yellow."

      i was actually not going to get it because it doesn't go down to the 1/32, but then i noticed the metric/standard version, which can be essentially as precise, so i'll take it. (1mm is good enough for anything I'll do).

    Descent products, but quality is questionable. After 2 months and maybe 2 uses of a BRAND NEW tape the locking mechanism broke. Customer service refused to provide support because I didn’t purchase off their own website. Ridiculous. Would never purchase a product from them again.

Please email info@fastcap.com with your blade style and your address and they will send you a replacement.

    The metric tape measures from fastcap are terrible. It is not shown in this video, but the number format gets mind-boggling because of the large numbers especially above 1 meter, 1000 and so on. If I had known this before I would not have bought these tape measures. I have the Metric true 32 and the Metric/standard. Very unsatisfactory. Not the same as the normal metric tape measure number format. I tried to work with them but I guess will buy another brand and these will go into the trashcan I think. Very regrettable.

      Being in mm instead of cm doesn't make it "terrible," you just have a preference for cm. You should be more fair in your review instead of whining like a child.

    • @Frontseat_Driving
      @Frontseat_Driving Год назад

      @@Persun_McPersonson Actually he's kind of right on the money. Legibility is clearly a huge factor. ANYONE using mm knows there are 10 in a cm. Cleaning up the readings is a no brainer. I appreciate his feedback.

    • @Persun_McPersonson
      @Persun_McPersonson Год назад

      @@Frontseat_Driving
      If they're "right on the money," that means you're agreeing with the notion that the measurements being in mm is outright "terrible" and "mind-boggling"; despite this, you also claim that both cm and mm are easy to understand since there are simply 10 mm in 1 cm. This seems like a contradiction in logic, no? Adriaan clearly finds mm hard to understand.
      If the conversion between mm and cm is a "no-brainer" then the argument that one is inherently easier to understand than the other/inherently cleaner than the other is a lie, so the measurements being in cm or mm is again just a matter of preference.
      Many people prefer it in cm because the labeled numbers are in increments of 10 mm/1 cm; others prefer it in mm because it avoids the need to use decimal points and is a direct power-of-1000 difference from a meter.

    • @Frontseat_Driving
      @Frontseat_Driving Год назад

      @@Persun_McPersonson You are over thinking it. The smaller scale means larger numbers (more digits) making the measure visually cluttered.
