Hello Kelly! Finally had a chance to see your year end WIP parade! Amazing! All your pieces are beautiful but my favorite is Fire Fly. The white cat looks so realistic. Thank you for sharing. It was also great to see Reggie! He is so adorable!♥
Loved watching your WIP parade - I'm not a full coverage stitcher but I always enjoy seeing other people's. And I love your attitude! It should be all about enjoyment rather than a number game. (I say that and yet I get twitchy if I have more than 6 projects on the go....) All the best for 2024, Kim ❤
Phew! I'm exhausted just watching your WIP parade. You have so many wonderful projects to work on, best of luck with your 'no new starts in 2024' challenge. Happy New Year!
I hope you love your new job and had a lovely Christmas. Autumn Kitty needs to come out this year because it is adorable!❤❤ Your Autumn colored kitty, Reggie looks so cute sleeping behind you. Sea Glass by CM is going to be beautiful. Galah is amazing!❤
I always enjoy end of year WIP PARADE. All your projects so varied but so large. Kelly re the 25 count gridded fabric you are using for Invictus . Try washing a small corner to see if it runs. I have used dye catcher sheets for washing quilting fabric, it works. But I used the washing machine. It may work with hand washing. pop it in the water .
I’ve been cross stitching for a year now. I just stitch whatever I’m in the mood for I guess. Never thought of doing anything different. I enjoyed your video! I’m a new follower 🦉❣️
Hi Kelly, wishing you a very happy new year. Hope all is well and you get lots of stitching done. Can’t wait to see more progress on firefly happy stitching. Cheers.
I identify what I need to finish for birthday and Christmas gifts this year as well as what pieces can be finished in time for competition at the fair. I try to touch each WIP sometime during the year. I try to plan more finishes than new starts. Every year I know I will do a new year new start, begin a stitch for Lent, Christmas in July, patriotic, and Advent. If any of my WIPS are seasonal or monthly, I plan to work on them for that season. This year I will begin with 17 WIPS, plan 7 fair finishes, 5 new starts, and hope to be at 15 WIPS by the end of the year. I hope I will not feel an overwhelming need to do more new starts than finishes!
Yay, Epic video! I’m glad Reggie was keeping you company for this. He was a perfect gentleman. My largest full coverage is massive to me, 400x700 280,000 sts with a total of 196 colors with blends too. Happy Stitching 🧵🪡
You have a lot of great projects on the go! You always do so good with getting lots of stitches on your full coverages throughout the year. Firefly looks amazing! I did a wip parade a few weeks ago and talked about the rotation I am trying this year to try and get some of my older wips finished, but still have some starts and touch more of my full coverages. The way I am doing it is following my work weeks. So I work 5 days then have 2 days off and then 6 days and have 3 days off and it goes back and forth. The nights I work I will work on my full coverage pieces. I have 2 that I specifically want to focus on. So I will rotate between my supersize one (stitch to a half a percent in pattern keeper, then the one I am doing for my Mom (stitch to 1% in pattern keeper), then rotate through my others starting with the oldest first and stitch it to 1% before starting again with my supersize. Then the next time through I will pick my next oldest and do the same. Once I make it through all of my full coverage wips - the next round through I can start a new one if I feel like it :) My days off I plan on structuring this way and will work on 1 project for my days off. My first 3 days off - a new start of my choice of whatever I am feeling most. My first 2 days off: My oldest wip in my small size category. My second 3 days off of the month - My oldest wip in my large category and my last 2 days off of the month will be my oldest wip in my medium size category. All of my focus wips will stay in the rotation until I finish them and then I will sub in my next oldest wip that is in that size category. Hopefully that makes sense. I feel like this way I am mostly working on my wips, concentrating on my oldest first and still getting to start a few things (at least once a month anyway) without going too overboard. I can stitch at my work when we are not busy and I plan on stitching ornaments for Christmas and Halloween while at work, or projects ornament size. I am looking forward to seeing how you do with your no new starts this year and how many wips you get finished!! Happy Stitching! - Laura
Hi Kelly Great WIP parade, you've certainly been busy! I kind of regret my idea of playing a drinking game while watching you (just Pepsi), as now I'm busting, haha!! We must catch up sometime, it's been a long time since I've seen everyone. I hope that you had a great Christmas & Happy New Year to you. Hugs Marie
I came upon your video and I watched it all. I loved seeing all of your starts. You have some very nice kits and patterns. Several that I would like to find, and start, too. Especially the Halloween ones. Your cat was so sweet. I love it. I'm going to try what you are going to do on the first week of the month. I have a Artecy cross stitch that I want to get done. Maybe thst would help me to get some done on it. I can't wait to see your progress next time. Happy New Year
I think this was the first video with Reggie in view the entire time - probably a Christmas gift to his fans that he chose the longest - and last - one of the year to grace us with his presence! 😂 I love all your projects and will definitely think about the „first week of every month“ idea…
Constant crazy storms and sweltering heat in Queensland. Air con and stitching is the perfect way to spend free time. Love all of your WIPs - I am not brave enough to do huge projects but I LOVE looking at them.
It’s been pretty horrible weather here too. So many storms (with hail!) I had to pull my jacket out to wear to work again, crazy times. I still can’t get over how lifelike Firefly cats looks. So gorgeous. Reggie in the background is pretty special too - I wish I could reach through the video and give him a gentle scritch 💜💜💜 Such a great hashtag!! I would like to join you please 😅 Can you cut a small section off #23 fabric and test washing, so you know it will come out and won’t waste fabric if it is fine? Coffee Drinkers Confession is still a favourite of mine!! I should really pull it out and FFO it so I can display it somewhere.
Your channel is my absolute favorite ⭐️. This episode was such a treat! Your stitching and pattern choices are magnificent! My favorite color is orange, so seeing some of your lady kits made me so happy! I am a monogamous cross stitcher. I finished my first full coverage piece in November and am full steam ahead on my second. It is my goal to finish one full coverage a year and fit in a lace knit shawl or two and a few crochet doilies. I look forward to seeing your progress in 2024! Happy New Year to you, Reggie and Jemima!
Nice catching up with you. Im glad im not the only one that has WIPs that havemt been touched this year 😂. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year. Whats the new job you're doing? That bird (sorry dont know how to speel it) looks stunning, i think you need to focus on him till hes finished 😊 youve got some amazing BAPs as well as a wide variety of others, you and Jo are a bad influence on eachother 😂 but are a joy to watch, im not one for Halloween thankfully or i might have wanted to start a few
Nice to see you are good and well! Missed your monthly update- but starting a new job is perfect enough reason for no update! You have so many huge and wonderful wips!! I really enjoyed seeing what you have been stitching on during the years! And don't worry about the starts - you're not alone 😅🥰 Have a wonderful rest of the year, a Happy and joyous New Year and will surely be back to see your updates in 2024!
It was fun to see all your projects again. Can't wait to see your updates next year. Reggie did such a good job of hanging out with you. Such a sweetie.
Hello from Ontario Canada where we just had a green and foggy Christmas…winter is supposed to be here. This is my first visit. I work on everything almost every week…I want to finish things and have a terrible time setting something down for a no stitch holiday. Since starting my flosstube channel I have increased the amount of different projects stitched at once…my biweekly videos definitely have repeats of projects. Happy New Year.
I don’t have any plan of “attack” to get mine finished but here on RUclips - 14 CT Aida girl approaches hers by doing 100 stitches on one then moving onto the next until all have had attention then starts all over again. I am considering that approach. 😊
So many beautiful projects. I'm starting a HAED on the 1st, my first New Year, New Start. I'd love to join your hashtag. I'm still getting the hang of hastags on Instagram.
That was an epic video (I did watch to the end). I watch Jo's videos as well, I think that you should cut ties with her, she is obviously a bad influence on you, making you start all of those projects LOL. Always been a fan of your Firefly project, so glad that it will remain a focus piece for you next year. I hope you are starting everything at the moment before your new start ban for next year. Reggie is such a good boy💙💙🐾🐾
@@AnimalInstinct ok i was just wondering, i would love one day to visit australia but i see you guys have big spiders and im not a fan of spiders. But im sure australia is still beautiful
