I LOVE the idea of introducing contact juggling to the public. I just wish the commercial had mentioned contact juggling even in the slightest form so the people who buy a Fushigi ball can discovery people like Mr. Om. and Michael Moschen and the contact juggling community in general.
Wow.... The real name of this art form is Contact Juggling. It has been around for many years and was first popularized by Michael Motion, who performed the art form in The Labyrinth for David Bowie. Also if you get a proper acrylic ball it would also look a lot better than these cheap imitations. Do not be fooled, this takes a lot of time and dedication to learn. I don't want to put people off trying to learn contact juggling, but it is not something that most people can pick up and learn in 1h

Its honestly a great introduction to contact juggling. Worth getting in my opinion.
Folks, if you buy this thinking you'll be able to do all this stuff after a few minutes practice, then I've got some bad news for you. There is nothing special about the ball. It's just a plastic ball. It is not some sort of magic, do-anything ball. However, if you follow their instructions on the DVD and devote hundreds of hours to the craft of contact juggling, then yes YOU will be doing what they do in the video. Just be prepared to put a LOT of TIME and ENERGY into learning this craft.

Yup everytime I look at the video and it looks like a clear ball being juggled in arms and at some points it stays still on the grip of fingers 0:40. Using an emo at 0:13 also made me realize that this is not cool and she is just excited that she can also hold a ball still in her fingers.
I'm confused... this is called contact juggling. How are they saying this is something new and calling it fushigi? Second it has nothing to do with the ball and it takes lots and lots of practice. That one small move that they teach you is about the only one that will come with no practice.
@FushigiBall does the announcer annoy you? yes. Does i have a practical use? no. does it need a practical use? no. is it fun? im sure it is. my question is can it be used as a weapon? (not that it needs to be for me to get it, it looks really fun and i want 1, im just asking)
i just got mine today and the guy on the DVD is awesome. i wonder how long it took him to learn everything. haha.
I like it. I am getting it. Even if it is just a ball, it's shiney! And crystal like. Thats why I am getting one. Not because of the cool moves, because it's mezmerizing to me. :)

While I do worry that the art of contact juggling may become known to those who had not previously been introduced to it solely as "Fushigi" [much like the common item tissue being referred to by the majority as kleenex, no matter the brand], I do appreciate that it will bring contact juggling to those who may have otherwise never seen it.
