New Fushigi Ball Commercial
FUSHIGI is a brand new, dynamically designed ball used in the mysterious art of contact juggling. With FUSHIGI the operator exploits the reflective properties of a sphere through specific hand and body isolations and movements that are designed to give the appearance that the FUSHIGI sphere is moving on its own or even floating. Using FUSHIGI is an incredible, therapeutic form of relaxation. The art of maneuvering a reflective sphere through mind and body isolation and manipulation creates the illusion that the sphere may be defying the laws of gravity, as if the sphere is moving on its own.

This is much better. I like it.
MORE PEOPLE MUST WATCH
AAAAAAHHHHHHH MORE PEOPLE MUST WATCH!!!!!!!
I would like to be able to look at these in person. Are they going to be available in a B&M store anytime soon?
Great stuff. I do appreciate that we are including references to CJ. The hip-hop guys looked good too.
hmmm contact juggling looks kinda fun... but its really awkward to watch these guys do it though...
The main question is that what do you REALLY DO WITH IT other than showing off?
Fusheezy?
This is just free jugglings
its like that ball jared uses in labriynth
man so many people think that its a floating ball, its just the way they make the ball and how if reflects to make it look like its floating
I find it funny seeing people going baoding ball style, makes me think that's probably the way some people got started.
@fatpanda34 It's just a hobby plain and simple. Reminds me of how many may think disc golf is dumb. Yet I have yet to hear someone who hated the sport after trying it, and me and my friends have gotten many people started.
WTF? HOW THE!? 0:42
WTF? HOW THE HELL!? 0:42
This is NOT a "new" toy.. if anyone remembers the 1986 movie "Labyrinth", David Bowie's character used these EXACT things in several scenes. Seems to me these would have done (or would do) MUCH better on the market if that movie were still in the peak of popularity.
@meaganlovesjonas5979 go to vampire713 hes awsome at this
Lol are they easy to use?
@narutocursemark LOL I DID 2 LMFAO .. I searched it to see that girl shes Hot and Snoopy snoop dog at the end lmfaoooo
I GET IT NOW
i only watch this because the black guy lmao
This reminds m of the Babe with the power of Voodoo. Maybe it's just me but it does. Either way...David Bowie made it look hot in Labyrinth. ^_^

@CordyBear1 no its not its a mirror in a ball
@fatpanda34 I didntt think the world could create anything more pathetic then the shamwow... indeed they did.
@powscience They are kids, and most kids have the attention span of a squirrel. Let's take a cereal ad for example, do you honestly think kids hear the nutritional value of the cereal when they see it on T.V? No, they see the colorful bits of food, the toon advertising it, and how delicious the product is. All they see with the fushigi is the illusion, and just like the nutritional value, they don't listen to the "you need practice" bit of the ad
@deviantdevice88 In that case, why does every little wide-eyed kid that comes into my store think it can float? Hmmmm?? The ads are to say the absolute least misleading. If they weren't, kids wouldn't be flocking to my store asking for the "floating ball". Our problem is NOT with the ball. We love watching it used skillfully. Our problem is with the ads.
@meaganlovesjonas5979 No, it's real ball. It just takes lots and lots of practice to make it do the things these very talented contact jugglers make it do.
Lol, so many haters on the fushigi ball...they aren't cheating you guys. Yea, you can do it with any ball, but the fushigi ball is designed to help the illusion, it has a metal ball inside of an acrylic ball, with a softball it wouldn't look as cool, plus the acrylic helps the user do the tricks because of it's smooth surface.
@powscience In the advertisement it clearly states that you need practice and time to learn how to use the fushigi properly.
that looks sweet but u would probably need a lot of practice
I want a couple so I can feel like I'm in the movie Labyrinth. <3
fuck the fushigi ball, i rather clean something then buy fushigi ball.
@TheSecretGoldfish ur not spanking me u trashing me for commenting on something I hate and that's what a comment list is for, FUCKING COMMENTS! So stop trashing people for not liking fushity.
its just a fucking glass ball aw shit
@TheSecretGoldfish99 no offense but are you like a nerd or something on this stuff cause i saw this on t.v and im not about to pay 20.00 bucks for a ball. and you like end up blabbering about stuff i dont care about again no offense
@TheSecretGoldfish99 i still dont get it its a ball with like a clear surface and like a shiny inside but?
@TheSecretGoldfish99 because I hate fushity that much and u must really love it cause ur all up and down this fucking comment list some one has no life.
Interesting. I see what other posters are referring to about the nature of the advertising. While I do worry that the art of contact juggling may become known to those who had not previously been introduced to it solely as "Fushigi" [much like the common item tissue being referred to by the majority as kleenex, no matter the brand], I do appreciate that it will bring contact juggling to those who may have otherwise never seen it.

I am torn. The two-material ball is very interesting..
@sleepydood ... Watch the isolations 0:47 and 0:59 carefully. See what I mean? The reflection of the sun gives off light much like a star's 'points'. These seem to rotate as the ball rotates. I suppose this could also be an artifact of the video recording process, but this to me seems like an inherent tell in the ball, which, for some, might be a turn off. They do look well-weighted. I love working with steel vs acrylic, but vastly prefer the texture of acrylic. Interesting compromise!
@sleepydood ...flare's 'arms' or 'rays' or whatever you want to call them seem to be affected by the rotation of the ball; that is, the refraction of the light traveling from the chrome surface's reflection seems non-uniform through the acrylic coating. I doubt that it's being polarized in any way, unless the acrylic itself has that effect. Do you think this is more due to a manufacturing problem, such as the inner sphere having a non-uniform surface or the acrylic not bonding uniformly?
Interesting - the Fushigi is something I have just begun to see - I've been out of the contact loop for a bit. I'm wondering - while the apparent distance between the surface of the hand and the inner chrome surface aids the illusion of floating, do you find that the sharp reflections of strong light points (such as the sun in this video) tend to provide directional tells during isolations? I noticed that the 'flare' given off in this video tended to break the illusion of stillness, as the...
@TheSecretGoldfish99 the second annoyance is not bothering AT ALL that the fushigi cannot in any way defy laws of physics which is what it is made to look out to be. and fails to explain the illusion aspect. to me it's like they don't care about contact juggling as an art form but as a way to RAKE IN CASH. these reasons alone show me to dislike fushigi and not support it. so just leave me alone already and have fun with fushigi while i contact juggle with a classic acrylic.
@TheSecretGoldfish99 it's not that i don't like the fushigi ball. which you should have realized through my past comments the major concern is the marketing!!!! just because it's not an acrylic ball, but thier own product they are able to lable this as something brand new! which in a way it is. but only the DESIGN of the sphere. and since contact juggling in the states is hardly popular they try and introduce it as thier own. they don't even bother giving background. this is annoyance number 1.
i dont get it
@TheSecretGoldfish99 actutally the cost of an acrylic ball is only 20 dollars. which is the same as the fushigi. and an acrylic will last you a whole lot longer than a fushigi will.
@TheSecretGoldfish99 lol u liked to juggle balls when u were 12 also I would NOT spent 30 to 50 on a fucking ball.
