This game ended things on a note we haven't seen since Ib, where this whole horror rpg maker game trend started. Followed up with Witch's House and Mad Father, those newer games left one feeling hollow, unsatisfied, and unhappy. But this... This game, when played right, ends on a truly triumphant note that makes you feel glad you played this game through to the end and makes the struggle all worth it. A shining gem of a game in a sea of horror games with no catharsis at the end. I totally recommend this game.
LordVader1094 Honestly, I feel like I’m the only one dissapointed with Ib’s ending. Assuming we go with Garry’s ending, I disliked how nothing was explained. Who was Garry? Who was Ib? Why did they get trapped in the art museum? Its nice that Garry and Ib remember each other but it just felt so unsatisfying to not be given more. You have these characters, and you neglect to explain almost anything about them, neglect to explain what and why in the hell they were trapped there, neglect to develop any characters and such. It was just there. And the endingjust didn’t feel like it climaxed the story enough. Nothing about Ib or Garry changes from the start all the way til the end. I much prefer the Ib sacrifice ending in the fan game purely for the fact that the ending was just much more powerful and poignant. And it gave a way to save both Mary and Garry. Instead of “oh I remember you. We survived the art museum together. Well, see you later”.
I legitimately had to find a video with intense music just to make me stop feeling so emotionally unstable. All it did was make me want to find Blank Dream's ending theme and now i can't stop repeating this.
This is what I imagine Mishiro's diary entry might look like, after the best ending. [Even though everyone else basically disappears "And in the end... I escaped the darkness... And even though I don't quite remember why just yet... the memories are coming back to me, day by day. Whenever I'm feeling down, I just smile and take a look in the mirror, and I'm reminded of what happiness looks like. I want to remember how beautiful and precious a gift life and family and friends and love can all be! And... it's kind of scary, but I'll make new friends to help me through the fear... because... for the first time in my life, I want to LIVE! So... here I go..." :')

God the ending was amazing. Such a bittersweet way to wrap up what happened. And amazing seeing the connections she had with all the other characters both in the mirror world and in the real world after she spoke up. I think the dad asking her to come by ayatos grave was probably the part i really started to bawl my eyes out.

Try Angels of Death!! it was translated few months ago and it almost took ib's place as my favorite horror rpg!! it's definitely one of the best!

I just finished Blight Dream (which released yesterday) and dang, I have to say... I didn't know Blank Dream would connect to Blight Dream in such a way...
Blight Dream does take place 10 years after Mishiros story but she was only referenced in a book for her art
although this game was hard for me to finish, i'm glad i watched this, really liked the story
