Very useful video coach, I'm going to do those exercises from now on each time before I do any singing....on another note...you're not related to Lisa Kudrow by any chance, there's a striking resemblance?
thank you this is exactly the problem I've noticed in my voice, the first video of someone that actually reproduced the exact strained tone my voice has when singing. Will try this from now on, hopefully it'll get my tone more clean.

I have just the thing for you. Have you got my free Releasing Vocal Tension course? If not you can get it here and it should get you going in the right direction to eradicate the tension and muscle pain. www.singersadvice.com/releasing-vocal-tension-course.html
Should the soft pallet stay raised during an entire song or is it just more applicable to vowels? I feel as if I am over emphasizing the raised soft pallet and it is creating tension in my lower jaw. Also, my tongue goes all over the place. I know it needs to move for proper consinent sound but mine feels like it's always in the way and I over emphasize (that word again) trying to keep it down, which creates more tension. Thanks for your video instruction. Can you clarify those 2 issues above, for me, Please?
Two words........Matt Bellamy. Be that relaxed. When he wants to add tension in his singing its on purpose and he literally has to push his head back to get the tight sound on some words he does. Watch him perform "Guiding Light" Live he does it a lot there. He has to be one of the most relaxed singers, stringing words together as if they slur into one another. The only other singer that matches his caliber is Freddie Mercury,
You're still the best. Thanks for posting this. Will help me heaps next weekend.
