I think what she mean is that it is part of the Russian culture and Russian people personality to not smile at strangers (to other from different culture seems like they're cold and unfriendly) 😅 but from what i read about people who travel to Russia, Russian people are just not friendly if you just met, once they warm up to you, they'll be your best companion (i guess this is how people describe them).

Actually plum ice aka air Asam boi ingredients are water+plum pickle (fermented with salt and sugar) that is why without sugar the drinks still have sugars after the Asam boi disolve into the water. Enjoy..

Kaz you’ve been to many places, better than many average Malaysians. Your taste bud already got used to Malaysian food. Penang Island has some of the best street food in the world. It may take you 2 - 4 weeks to try all the street food because it is simply too many I.e. asam laksa (rated one of the best street food in the world), fruit rojak, prawn mee, loh mee (thicken soup noodle, popiah (spring roll), char kuey teow (rated one of the best street food in the world), cendol, chee cheong fun (white rice roll) with shrimp paste, curry mee (curry noodle), nyonya kuih (Malay kuih with Chinese style), nyonya cuisine (mix of Chinese & Malay style), nasi kandar etc. Almost all the food stalls have good taste. Some stalls are cheap and some stalls in tourist spot are expensive. Penang is a historical city with many historical sites Ipoh is another city n with good food. It may take you 1 - 2 weeks to try all the food. Some of the famous ones are the chicken rice, Ipoh bean sprout, hor fun soup noodle, nasi ganja (opium rice) because you will get addicted to it, cendol. Ipoh is the cleanest city in Malaysia. Melaka is another city with good food. It may take you 1 - 2 weeks to try all the food. Chicken rice ball (yes, ball shape), cendol, asam pedas, nyonya cuisine.
