This is why I love Honda’s. These 2 kids beat the absolute piss out of them going up and down this canyon, and I guarantee they probably started right up the next day. And the day after, and so fourth. Can’t say the same about my WRX..... love the Honda’s boys. Hell yeah

my water passage bracket had broke, when i had my ac on blast in the freeway, had to rechange all that. lol

Thank you sir. I was very young, 17 to be exact, when this was filmed. It took a lot of practice but being able to consistently heel-toe is one of my favorite things about driving stick.
ATLSi teach us how to heal toe i can never get it bc my feet r so big or does that not matter?

idk but just got my downpipe and invidia n1 and its actually a lot deeper then i ever heard on other civics i like it lol rather then a raspy noise from most civics it almost has like a subaru rumble to it

Adafo-Inhir I definitely think the 8th Gen is a better car than the 9th. The TSX motor in the 9th is not nearly as special as the K20 in the 8th imo
So will a ecu flash fix the honda rev hang its not something I like some do.

hope it helps, if you pay attention when ur drive if you lean into the corner you will notice the lines on the road "shift" which for me made cornering inconsistant. so basically when you dont lean you can learn where you want that line to be in relation to a certain curve on the body of the car and you will nail the corners hard and consistant, and if you autocross should cut down your lap times

The guy driving was refering to the hesitation under full throttle at 5:34 aroun 6 grand not the fuel cut-off bounce at 5:07. He is coming out of a corner with no traffic in front of them, a good amount of space between him and his friend, and even no oncoming traffic. That's when the misfire occured.
I'm sure it will. That all makes sense. We'll see though because I should be getting into autocross this summer

i didnt know mexico had nice road signs.. especially ones with MPH on it.. things must have changed in 8 years, LOL

I have a 2010 civic Si myself. Rally Red color, 4 door. I don't plan to mod it till I am done paying it off and I own it. I have had to have the transmission partially rebuilt for 2nd gear and the syncros. There was 1 previous owner wuth 24k miles on it when I bought it so not sure how they drove it or if it was their first manual car and learned on it. Had the work done on the transmission around 46k miles. Its up to 50K now. Shifts as smooth as butter now. I had the gear lockout/grind issue.

ull notice better cornering if you dont lean ur head when u turn, lil trick my dad told me bout, found myself hitting the corners more consistant every time

@ATLSi Haha yeah I used to have the Skunk2 70mm and I got a noise ordinance ticket :(. Now I'm back to my Mugen Si catback. Nice whip though, seems to be pretty quick.

@NxCmp actually the misfire or hesitation I was talking about in the video was just after 0:24, what you're talking about is just tire spin as the LSD tries to distribute the power coming out of a turn.

How's the highway drone? I bought the exhaust and it's on my front porch right now. Thinking about getting the headers next but I daily drive this car. Is it annoying and would I disrupting anyone's day? I read somewhere that people were setting off car alarms with the full skunk2 exhaust.
+Zagnotoft even just with the skunk 2 megapower rr exhaust you set off car alarms, but I'm also looking to get the alpha series headers now too

@JDMasFk1 Thanks. And I was downshifting so much because there is really no power below 5k! And I was also still trying to get used to heel-toe downshifts when I made this video, so I was taking every chance I got to do one haha

I didn't get this car to drive it like an R18. There's a point for all the suspension and engine work the Si gets
Is it a full synthetic or a blend ? I used to work for valvoline ,, they produce a racing oil named vr1 . It's a full synthetic with anti shearing additives along with other additives that reduce friction etc. etc. maybe you should try it and no you definitely can't buy it in stores not even their oil change franchises but they know their oils so it's worth a shot . Rotella I think mostly specializes with Diesel engines but who knows ? But have you been driving with the new oil like you had on the video ? And what about the other guy in the vid I mean he wasn't cutting no slack bro ha that's still a great vid especially when y'all pass the bikes I love doing that ! Be safe ...
Rotella is listed as a Diesel oil but it is perfect for gas cars that are beat on, just not great for cats over time as I am sure you know. The guy in front of me was using Motul 300V lol. I don't have this car anymore but I was driving it hard, and it was turbo with 480whp before I sold it, Rotella kicked ass
Also Rotell T6 is advertised as full synthetic now, but I think there was some debate on whether all the base stocks were truly group IV

@gmi2422 Not on this run because I was purposefully easy on the brakes. But I had noticed a little fade before, and I have since upgraded to Hawk HP+ pads, RBF 600 fluid, and SS lines.

@Manchester7779 I think it's the camera angle, but TRUST me I only crossed it twice, obviously when I didn't set up correctly for a corner. I still have a loooooong way to go to be a good driver
@VIHUELERO2001 Trust me, this is nowhere near as loud as open header! But the sound is not for everyone, including me after a few months

@inv1sion Yeah it's loud as shit. I measured 142 dB's inside the car during one of these runs! Last week I actually switched to the Full Race exahust and that's much more livable, but doesn't sound quite as epic at WOT. And yeah you gotta love that Honda quality!

Yep I put a K24 in this car and all those mods would fit..except I got a larger intake and switched to a Full-Race 3". The Skunk2 annoyed me and the Full-Race sounds better
