    This is not a Global 5000 but a Global Express, seats 14 plus two pilots. Flight was to Tampa Florida non-stop.8.3 hours. NO waits no lines, no hassle. Southend is an excellent airport with a brand new FBO.

      Thanks for that, also known as a Global 600 or BD700.

    05:32 those (presumably) thrust reversers look pretty cool!

  • @ottavva
    @ottavva 5 лет назад +2

    1:32 does it have a scratch behind the captains window ??
    in addition to that, there is smoke coming on either side of he engines
    then again, it is maybe painted black for a purpose ??

    • @SOUTHENDAVIATION
      @SOUTHENDAVIATION  5 лет назад +4

      No, that's just how the Global is designed, has a small sent just behind the cockpit windows. The smoke from the engine is just oil vapor, the BR700s (engines on this plane) produce quite a lot of oil vapor.

      @@SOUTHENDAVIATION k tks 4 explanation ... to an untrained eye it may look as an airplane which suffered a parking damage

    Is the smoke coming out of the engine normal? Never seen that before or maybe never paid attention to it...

    • @SOUTHENDAVIATION
      @SOUTHENDAVIATION  4 года назад +2

      Yes these engines, Rolls Royce BR700s, do produce a lot of oil vapour.

    • @maxsdad538
      @maxsdad538 2 года назад +1

      (pssst... it's really not normal, but that's why there's a spare engine. 😉😉)

    The plane in this video: 1999 BD-700-1A10 --> 8 mil
    1999 G4 --> 4 mil
    I'll take the G4, unless I fly with an entourage of 20, which almost nobody does.
