So I'm doing a full face of Wet Wild and it wasssss a fail. While Wet and Wild is one of the best affordable drugstore brands out there, this foundation was awful! Everything else was ok!

Layla Cherise the cushion foundation only comes in 3 shades. Their actual regular foundation definitely does come in her shade lol

Some of the darker colors are available in shop yes, but 7 out of 20 of their foundation shades are not. Only the darker shades.
Bella Holman walgreens has most of the shades compared to walmart or rite aid

I've neever bothered to mess with Wet n Wild's complexion products cuz... obviously.. lol, but their highlighters (precious petal and crown of my canopy) are seriously so bomb! And their lippies.

the photo focus foundation is really good. i do not like the cushion products. the photo focus foundation is pretty much full coverage and all though it does have a very strong paint like scent it works good.
I've heard a lot of good things about this foundation, but my shade isn't available here in Toronto. I've checked so many times when it first launched and it stops right before the darker shades which sucks, everyone seems to love it

Kitty I think it's more of a "we were lazy, let's hope it works" type of bullshit, still one of the darker cushion foundation I've seen. Far from good enough tho. Fucking ridiculous.

Cydnee they have a matte photo focus primer and matte photo focus liquid foundations and concealers! You should’ve gotten the whole new photo focus line because im pretty sure they have a color for you.

Thank you for pointing out that their cushion foundation needs way more range! However, other foundations they have do have a way bigger range of shades. There is still no excuse for the cushion foundation though. Love how true you stay!

I feel like I know what these companies do at headquarters when making foundations for "deeper" skintones: they bring in a light skin black girl, thinking that she's still black so it's justified lol. There's this one company sold at Sephora that sells 4 foundation colours and all of them look THE EXACT SAME. And if you've seen the model they used for the deepest tone, she's LIGHT BRIGHT lol.

Yea, I got the photo focus liquid foundation in Cocoa and it's a bit too dark, I'm trying to find one shade lighter but it's never in stock.
But that's only 1 product. We should have representation across the board. It's like dont worry that 99 of of products don't have your color we got that foto finish tho..
tiarra reyes You are quite right. If they were able to make 20 shades of the Photo Focus, why come out with only 8 shades for the cushion compact? And the darkest of the 8 is called Tawny, definitely not very dark.

Good idea: you could have used it as concealer and then something that they probably have that's dark enough to contour with.

wet n wilds shade range is assss. they will have like 6 variations of the same color for light people but if you're darker they toss you like 4 shades to pick from with horrible undertones

Sorry the foundation didn't work. I haven't really heard alot of good things about their cushion foundation anyway. Maybe try the Photofocus Liquid Foundation. A LOT of RUclipsrs love it

The eye make up is beautiful. You did a good job making it work. Sadly there are folks walking around using bad foundation because that’s all they have in their community. The contour palette was a good/quick fix.

I love your positive attitude and I'm glad you kept going even though that foundation was ridiculous! I checked their website and yes, in that product, you truly had the darkest one. They should be ashamed! Keep doing what you do! You're awesome and I appreciate your super honest review.
And to make it worse they put that lil brown girl on the outer packaging. The actual foundation color didn’t even go as dark as the color they put on the outer packaging 🤦🏽♂️

You would think that Wet and Wild would have the a wider shade range...Since they're the same company that makes Black Radiance (which cost more).
Why'd you just use things they sent you though? They have so many good products that you could have used that would've been better for your skin tone. That shade range is definitely shit on that new foundation. But I feel like we all knew that though so I don't know why you even tried? Still like the tutorial but I wish you would've gone to get the like photo focus line instead of just relying on stuff that was P.R. :) no shade, just my thoughts :)

Wet n Wild is one of the cheapest but also the highest quality drugstore brands. Elf is okay and all but they can’t compete. I miss the brand NYC but they were taken off shelves years ago :(

The foundation actually doesn't look terrible with the powder on it.I personally think that in other videos your foundation is too dark.And I love you cuz you can make everything work.

Wet n wild actually does have other foundations and they go darker than that because I have 3 foundations from them and 1 is lighter, 1 darker, and 1 is my shade. So, I honestly love them. I feel like they sent it thinking it'd work, but next time go online and look and see things for yourself, because now people are going to believe that they don't have dark shades and when they do. So the company shouldn't be getting bashed like they are in these comments.
