@@harbiston1808 Maybe we don't all afford the insurance of the 530i/530d and 540 but with 520d or 520i we can 520d doesn't consume so much fuel as the 520i so 520d is the best for young drivers as it is very balanced and it's insurance is not expensive... Europe has different type of insurances than in the US so if your in the US your lucky! Cuz it's not expensive

I didn't tune mine, but there are definitely options out there. Just make sure you find someone who makes a good tune themselves and not just buys some shitty file off the internet. A nice smooth powercurve is way more important than peak power. And also make sure it doesn't push the boundaries of the originals engine parts.

e39 520d is my dream for second car. Why diesel? Because i haven't got enought money for 12l/100km fuel consumption :// Gasoline pices in Poland sucks.
Strong double sided mounting tape (intended for outdoor use on signs etc. I think it was from Scotch) at the back and 3M dual lock velcro at the front. Both worked very well!
Greia med firerdiesel i E39 er at mesteparten av lyden er i motorrommet og i turbo, veldig lite å få ut av eksoen bak. Men i teorien har jo en dieselstuss mindre "fyll" som demper lyd, så det er godt mulig :) Men må nok inn med decat downpipe for å få ut noe merkbart med lyd. Dessverre ingen som produserer dette til E39 520D så må custombygges og da er prisen deretter..

I love BMWs, even own a E36 316i and E91 330xd myself and I didn't even know, that they made a 2.0 diesel for this car.. heh

Probably not a big seller on a world wide basis, but here in Norway there is quite a few as we like economical cars here due to taxes and fuel prices.

Hmm, merkelig. Har dessverre ikke vært borti noe sånt, nei. Min har heldigvis (bank i bordet) vært problemfri siden jeg kjøpte den for et år siden.

It's just a universal muffler from eBay. Don't remember the exact name. But if you search "bmw rear muffler" you'll find a whole bunch of them.
