I would say it’s a whole insult. There are hundreds, if not, thousands, of female directors who would have gladly made this for her. The problem is- she only offered to her closest friends and the biggest names. She didn’t actually LOOK.

The work environment seems so positive and she's definitely trying very hard to be polite and respectful despite being the one in charge and that has contributed a lot to the positive perspective. Excellent directorial debut! I'd be curious to see how the environment is with the other seasoned directors and the difference alone would prove Tayor's song right.

I am a thousand percent sure that Taylor is one of the most fun and easiest person to work with. She will make sure everyone on set is feeling well and comfortable, while still being hard working and efficient to get stuff done. If you're working with her, I bet it doesn't even feel like you're working. She is the perfect boss.

I liked watching the guys in that scene talking to her, because they knew she was a woman, but looked like a man, but was also you know Taylor swift their boss. Not in a bad sexist way or anything, just their mental gears jamming at the social cues like I have no idea if I should talk to her like a guy boss or a woman boss or one of the guys or what, which is sort of the point of the song too.

@Hello Kitty Let's flip the coin on this one, and imagine the reactions if "powerful" women were using a man for the same purpose. Would people react the same way as if it was a female? Most likely not, as this is considered fairly normal for this specific group of men. However, if women would put a man in the same situation, they would be seen as being controlling, forcing the man who "had no choice" into a mentally disturbing situation and painting him to be a victim. Then a person like you most likely wouldn't react as this person being there of their own free will.
And giving instructions politely but firmly while still in character of “TheMan” -“I need this to happen immediately, like immediately” is such a mood ❤️🥺🌻
