I think it’s because you’re both straight to the point , no big production, flashing lights etc that I always look forward to you opinions/videos.
Keep grounded , honest and original 👌

Yes I think the era of flashy over hyped videos is coming to an end. Which will be good for us all

One aspect of your channel that I particularly like is that you are small and say what you really think because not reliant on RUclips as your main source of income. Kepp it up!

Thanks. I wonder how the big RUclipsrs will react to all this..

Happy new lens - I'll keep quiet and await the videos :) I also got asked to look at Luminar a while ago, and frankly after having a little go I haven't really used it. I think having learned Adobe it'll have to be something revolutionary to get me away from that ecosystem!

Thanks Geoff, for your guidance and your videos have been a massive help and fun to watch. Look forward to a collaboration when we get chance

3 years ago, I found out that I would do a slow swich from Nikon to Olympus, due to smaller telephoto lenses in particular. I got the E-M1 mk II, and was quite happy about it and still have it. The were a few quirks of course.
Then came the OM-1. From the youtubers I watched much at the time it was almost a life-changing experience!
I had to have it of course. I have never been so unimpressed!
Of course it was an evolution, but nothing to be that exited about. I had som disappointments with low light and fast shutter speeds, and after 3 months I was grabbing the Nikon D500 in stead.
Now the OM-1 is waiting for me to find the next lens I need to have, and then I will try to get a fair price for it. I will keep the E-M1 mk II and the shorter Olympus lenses though, as they are great to walk around with.

Yes I think we’ve all had an experience like that. Sometimes I really don’t know how they come to the results they do compared to when I use some products

I have Luminar and Ps. My standard pro work stays in Ps mostly. Luminar is great for having a play and trying new things very quickly, although you can certainly get very good results only in Luminar if you like.

I'm guessing you've gone for the f mount 600mm f4 lens or maybe the f mount 400mm f2.8. Personally I'd love to add the 400mm f2.8 to my kit and just use it either with my D850 direct or adapt it on my Z9. 😋

Love the channel, love the discussions. yes bigger channels seems to be pushing products more than ever and/or forget to put the gear to use for more than a couple of days. The 40mm f2 is very versatile and been loving the results im getting from it. Its so good im skipping 35 and 50 because of it and went straight to 85mm, and thinking on getting the 28mm. If reviewing luminar im interested in seeing if it can be used as a after step for lightroom. I personally use Darktable but I have been testing Evoto and Topaz for retouching/enhancing after developing. How does luminar fit for this use case? does it offer added value?
Im interested in the hollyland review as well, but I have no specific question on hand, I used to want one unit like that to add a second cam to a live streaming setup to switch from studio to POV, but could not get a definitive answer on how well the signal is preserved across brick walls :). For focus check I use Snapbridge from time to time, and when I use it I make sure to set the phone wifi to stop looking for networks, It always disconnects for me if I don't as the phone prioritizes internet enabled connections dropping the camera every time. As for standby kicking in and killing snapbridge im sure that is more related to the phones aggressive battery preservation than just the app coding. Disabling standby mode on the phone settings would avoid the issue completely, but its not something to forget to turn on again ;)

Lenses YES, but not interested in birding or wildlife (I know You are interested in that (You do not need My permission BUT Please enjoy it)) Portrait lenses can include I guess up to 200mm, is good... I'm a Nikon Guy ... And the things You showed (HDMI thing looks interesting)(reasonably priced continuous lights)... I watch every thing You Guys do :) :) :)

Curious to see the Z8/z9 camera using a Z400mmf2.8 or Z400mmf2.8 against the F mount versions

Please don’t get into the whole Luminar software mess. People who use it seem to produce these very fake, artificial looking results. I own the 40 mm, really like that focal length, and like the results it gives me. Especially for what it costs. I still use DX quite a bit. But i’d only ask to bother you with a dx lens review if yourselves think you have come upon something noteworthy. Thanks for asking.

Yes part of the luminar review will
Be if we should use it or not for fake edits. Or where the line is with that.
