I wouldve never guessed it would work without evacuating the system. Seems like the moisture will lead to short compressor life and internal corrosion of the evaporator/condenser.

You must’ve been near Bonner’s Junction just east of Missoula. Maybe at the Pilot truck stop

Good video on how to replace compressor. My only question is: After it’s back together you should pull a vacuum on the system to remove all air and moisture before charging with refrigerant. It may need to be evacuated and recharged to get max efficiency for hot summer temps.

Thank you! Yes sir, I've done this Roadside with intent on vacuuming system when i got home but usually forget to if it's blowing cold

@CFarmer hey!! I just had a quick question for you , I own the same truck as yours and I've been really happy with it so far! Just wondering if yours is deleted?! And if not would you recommend it ? Thanks

Mine is not deleted. I figured i would if i has issues but stock dpf Filter still going at 620k. At this point i haven't spent enough on emission repairs to equal the cost of the delete. Me personally i say leave it stock especially if you're running the roads and do not do the majority of your own repairs. If you're 1000 miles from home and have issues it could be hard to find a shop to work on a deleted truck

Looking fast at your videos sure seem to have to do a bunch to your truck. Bad truck? Just the way your channel is setup? Not that a Chevy would be my first choice if I was to get into this but good to have info just incase lol!

Hey boss I have the same truck as you, I was wondering what oil do you use and filter?? Do you use any stabilizer or just 10 quarts of oil

How did you drain the system? I need to do the compressor on a piece of equipment. Also my charging port is corroded can’t get a fitting to lock on

I want to buy a scan tool something like you have. What is it and/or what on Amazon that I could get that I can do almost anything with it?
