I know this is completely different question to do with this video but I have dtr with an re engine had it rebuilt by Jim Bailey and I haven’t really used the bike but I noticed my coolant expansion tank is half full.. I have never put coolant in there as the radiator is full.
Best to ask Jim m8 he done the work, I don't know the history of your bike, if ya head gaskets blew that bottle will fill up and squirt out the coolant overflow pipe on the small tank
Could be a few m8 test the ht lead and coil with a multimeter, then it's either cdi unit or stator which can be tested by a multimeter, I fixed a kx 80 on here that cut out on me and had no spark, I changed the stator, then cdi and wasn't sparking then I swapped the coil and ht lead and it was that
A flywheel puller m8, what year flywheel is on cos there's 2 types that use difo pullers and a crank puller and case splitter, I used to use a yambits flywheel puller to split the cases and rubber mallet to tap the cases back together oh and a clutch holding tool to hold the inner clutch still
@@2strokemxclassics im not too sure but its a 2003 electric start. The bike is up in Scotland at my mas its coming down soon and want to rebuild bottom end. I've bought a blind bearing puller if that's what you call it. Seen it on one your vids. Just not sure on the crank bearing etc..
@@Tom-ol6cu if its ellecy start get the one from yambits m8 type in dtr 125 flywheel puller there a tena ish, the conrod bearing u send your crank to @jimbailey and he does the bearing he supply's the conrod kit with bearing but you can buy your own conrod kit and send him it. He does all mine best in the business he is
Is there any chance you can take a took at my bike pal? Got a dtr125 , the pistons gone , Iv recently bought the bike and from what Iv seen there is no better man than you to fix it and give it the once over. Be a drink in it for you. Let me know please mate

Hi m8 am working lots of hrs on the hgvs atm, just got back today so what's up only 2 gears still it probs need engine split and selector forks, av done one on here that was stuck in neutral a black with light blue seat one, can u get the bottom end out so it's quicker job and I'll split it and have a look if top ends ok

Hi m8 stator, cdi or ignition coil is the 3 main things a bike won't spark at all, if the bikes had the frame painted make sure it's ground off to bare metal for a good earth for the ign coil, if was sparking erractly or weak I would check all above plus the woodruff key and flywheel magnets, if there a crack in any magnet it gives off wrong spark m8, a loom that's been bodged is sometimes a problem too, but if your looms good, check the cdi next and coil👍
Nar shxt as usual m8, I tape them on my phone no fancy cameras or microphones and sometimes am a distance away from the phone so it queit, if ya want loudness buy a seperate Bluetooth speaker yal here fine m8

I've just bought a 98 dtr. Bloody thing doesn't seem to want to rev over 8k ish in gear.
Check the powervalves set m8 and it might have the Reed switch in the back on the clocks, that's a restrictor
