Maybe a 110 vs 115 Flash Minnow with the same color pattern... I think Tacaud, MS Anchovy, Salty Aurora Black, Sexy Smelt, and Zebra Sardine are on both types.

How do you put up with the salad that three treble hooks snag on most casts! It’s maddening after a while. Convert to single hooks???

Tip for the Lucky Craft: Remove the middle ring and hook. It cuts down on the tangling of the line, so most of your retrievals swim right. Removing it doesn't mess up the action. Also it is likely to do less damage to the fish if you plan to release.
Also with the baitcaster just go with 12# mono(if it has a deep spool). Less likely to get wind knots, and crazy currents won't tangle it up Only drawback is if you hook onto a big chunk of seaweed it is morr likely to break.
Will Hawkins much more distance with braid. It’s a lot more manageable with 30#_40# line. No wind knot problems either with power pro

For penn, they’re a little heavy generally so 3000 size

I hate the way all those triblehooks do the fish, but I'm so envious of driving on the beach and living so close that I have to differ to everyone else's judgements
What a great challenge!!!! Just got to take my son surf fishing at Ecola State park. We both hooked up on some Perch. He is on his way to his next duty station in Guam.
Just a thought....you should pay it forward. Keep doing the challenges, but the lures can be used as giveaways. Reward us loyal viewers....just a thought.

Toren Valone oh for sure thanks for the clarification! Yes it should work! We have friends as far north as Oregon who throw it to catch redtail surf perch.
