Beautiful setup. Love the deck also. Can you please help me understand how you put the trex deck border all the way over the pool coping? Trying to figure that out for mine. Any help would be much appreciated.
One of the reasons I went with the Intrepid pool was the fact that the top rail is aluminum and you can sit on it. Also the 4” interlocking aluminum wall structure is very strong . There is a double 2x8 beam running parallel to the pool wall which keeps most of the weight off the pool wall. The Trex decking basically canterlevers 12” off that beam and rest on the top rail. You must have a beaded liner for this to work as I don’t have to remove anything to change liner. If you send me your email, I can send pictures of the deck framing. Thanks

Great video. I’m getting ready to install a 27’ round intrepid on concrete and it also calls for a 3 inch base. I was planning on 2”foam but now I’m worried I should add the extra inch like you did. It’s a 40 gauge beaded liner. Do you think it would stretch the extra inch if I go with the 2”base?
Getting ready to purchase an above ground pool and plan on using foam flooring also. Can you please explain what you mean by needing a 3” base? Thanks for the video awesome job!
Did you use a patio stone under the buttress free end channel on the inside of the pool by the strap .so two stones per end channel one on the outside of the pool and one on tje inside ?

The manufacturer of my liner required ( in bold print) a 3” base so thats what I did.

If you are asking about the buttress free supports, i used one 2” cap block just on the outside end to keep keep it from sinking into ground.
