Quick ? Did you run sand out under the bottom wall support/rail? Thanks for the video, getting ready to do an install.

Yes, I wanted sand under the deck to keep grass from growing, however the wall support and rail is supported by concrete.
      Thanks

Does the wall foam get cut to match the skimmer opening? Or is the wall foam supposed to be cut short of the skimmer opening so it isn't squeezed between the skimmer plate, gasket and pool wall? Same question for the pump return line?

      @NormanGooch  10 месяцев назад

      David,
To properly install the skimmer, use the skimmer plate to draw an outline around the outer plate at the skimmer opening. Then, cut the wall foam to fit around the outline. It's important to note that the skimmer frame and gasket must make contact with the pool wall only during installation. And that's it! Thank you for watching my video!

@@NormanGooch Thank you Norm, that clears it up for me. I’ll do the same for the return line. I may cut just cut the foam 1/4” larger so there’s no stretching of the liners due to the slightly different thickness.
      Great video!!!

you can tell your liner was not made by swimline, your liner fit the pool..

    • @NormanGooch

The success or failure of your above ground swimming pool is determined by the quality and the size of the liner you use. Low cost, low quality liners are not worth the time or money.
Invest in a high quality 25-gauge liner. The liner “is your pool”.
The majority of above ground pool liners on the market won’t fit your swimming pool the way you want it to.
Manufacturers are allowed by law to advertise a swimming pool as a 18-round pool, as long as is true measurement is 10% more or less.
After you assemble your pool wall, measure the inside diameter to get a true accurate size.
It is important to take a tape measure and measure the true measurement of the liner you want to buy.
You can also order custom-made liners to fit your pool rather than to buy a liner that is too small or too big for your swimming pool.
      Thanks,
      Norman

I understand, I helped many people install their pools and made money doing it. It is not hard or difficult but takes time to get it done right.
