Just bought one straight from motorola's website last night for $399, shipping was free & will be here tomorrow morning. I chose this over the Motorola Edge + & Samsung S23 FE. Has everything I want/need & nothing that I don't want/need. Running Snapdragon too, it was a no-brainer. Great battery & charging. Military grade durability, awesome security, NO ALEXA!!! Ease of use when it comes to opening the flashlight or camera, screenshots & screen recording, and even a programmable red button on the side. Perfect phone, everyone should get one. Motorola is onto something here.
Loving mine. And they are updating. I just got an update on August 8th. I know people who always look at camera specs and buy for that. And many of the same people know nothing about photography and just take snapshots. In most circumstances this camera takes fine snapshots. I do a lot of photography and if I'm going someplace that i want great photos i take a "real" camera because of the higher quality and interchangeable lenses. It's a quality phone and I'm very satisfied with it.
Motorola website is now selling this phone for $399. If I had not recently bought my Oneplus 11 I would seriously consider this phone and might still as a backup phone.
Gotta love Chef Pusheen I know it's probably not available to you, but i'd love to see your take on phones from Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and other chinese brands
Man I was so close to giving this phone a shot 😊 my pixel 6a is just too good! 😇 great to see Moto once again offering compelling options on multiple tiers tho!
I have the Pixel 7 pro and this think phone and the only thing that is better is the camera on the pixel 7 pro. The moto is quicker, way smoother, destroys the battery life, and obliterates the charging speeds!!!
I left the s23 ultra. Much lighter, camera's are the obvious downgrade but I don't go out taking professional photos. 8 Hours SoT and battery life is on par. Best part, close to stock android. It's a go. Also works well with my samsung watch and headphones too.
I've seen it cheaper for short time on Lenovo and Amazon..$549. Keep eyes on it they may drop it again. The only thing this phone is missing is a stylus! I'm a long time Moto phone owner. ;-)
I agree. Performance is top notch and if you're a gamer this is a great deal or even as a backup/second phone or work device. Fast charging makes me shake my head every time I plug in my pixel. It's fantastic. Get a case, not for the sake of the phone but your own safety. If you drop this in bed (overhead( the solid metal frame will knock out teeth. One nice display feature is the anti flicker and extra dimmer for evening eye fatigue relief. I love it. Yeah the cameras are not great. Digital zoom is very bad compared to a pixel 7 and the low light is definitely not as good. I do think the touch screen is very responsive so if you're doing a lot of number input stuff at work it is very nice. unfortunately the speaker phone volume is really low. I don't get that especially when the media volume is very loud. What really sucks for me is the almost non existent heptic feedback. C'mon moto seriously? This bothers me more than the no always on display. Also there's no second space which really sucks and no IR blaster. The OnePlus solves a lot of my gripes and I would recommend that all day long over this but at $359 the thinkphone was hard to pass up.
No doubt a good phone but pixel 7 has no competitor under 500 to 600 usd range. Standard pixel models are the best value for money propositions in my opinion.
Not saying it's not a good phone but a lot of people, including me would argue that. Lots of things are better on the moto. Performance, battery, screen. Those are big categories.
Pixel 7 is garbage. 💩 overheating processor, old modem , poor battery life, snail charging speed. Poor display , The list goes on . Moto craps all over it .
I think the motorola edge 2022 is a poor man's thinkphone. I got the 256gb/8gb ram version for $250.00 at Best Buy a couple months ago. Probability of me upgrading is Slim as Motorola only wants to give me $65.00 to trade up. 🤨
I wish Moto will add an Always On Display with an update. I have the RAZR+ and it would be great to have in the outside display. Id be happy if there was a little led type indicator for notifications. It needs to work on the cover screen even if the phone is asleep.
The value really is impressive when you think about what you get! Love the build quality on it!
Now $399
@stevealicioustech The real question for me is, will they make another one!?!?

FYI, it's available to buy at $399. So a huuuge steal right now.
Just bought it
Still 399
Still
Still
Just bought one for my mom 💪
I have the Edge Plus 2023 but I miss the flat screen from last years model. I wish the think phone had a 512gb option and pen support
Gotta love Chef Pusheen

Have a Pixel 8 but might turn it in for this. Are the cameras really that bad tho? Some poeple say theyre horrible and others say theyre underrated.
Which Launcher moto or Lenovo?
So would you leave a galaxy s22 and everything samsung offers in its ecosystem for this phone? I'm trying to weight the pros and cons.

It's a really good phone!
@@StevealiciousTech I'm torn between getting the Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 with 256gb and 6gb ram or the Thinkphone.
Awesome review, seriously considering this with an upcoming sale, does it have wireless charging or expandable storage? Cheers!
Came from LG V50...just picked up Thinkphone. Thinkphone photos look better. I missed the telephoto lens on V50 but overall...Thinkphone is better
is it worth for 399 bucks ....or pixel 7a is better ????

Lets be honest.. There are also custom roms. If we don't get an official Android 14 update, some of us can go down 'that' route.
You can't find a better phone for $300 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 right there it had me at that and that price I'm buying 11 tomorrow
Pixel 7a vs this one.....what should I buy?
Thinkphone with closed eyes...
I'm torn between this and the Oneplus 11. Both phones seem great for the price!
What did you got? Thanks
I hate always on display. I disabled it on every phone ive had since 2017. Hope they MARKET this so it doesnt go the way of the Galaxy active
What sthe screen look like outside bright enough or on the dimmer side

love the security features
Definitely!
I've seen this phone for $349 before. Seems like a great buy at that price.
Yes, Black Friday paid $349. No regrets. Great phone, fine camera (for what I need), IP68 too.
How long is the security update?
Four years.
Got mine for $400. Itsta great phone but i probably wouldn't pay any more than that
Does it have pen support like last years 2022 Edge Plus ?
they missed the audio jack and expandable memory -.. Sony Xperia 10 VI for the win
Is it only me waiting for update 14 or everybody the company get an issue with android company or something?

Hate AOD. And it is already ruining iPhone 14 Pro panels with burn in. GG Apple.
If Lenovo/Motorola wants to target the business/enterprise market, they need to a LED indicator like a Blackberry!

Me too! Really weird they don't have one...just...what year is this? lol
Are there people who use their phones at 100% Brightness? 👀😳
Yes, me all the time lol.
@@StevealiciousTech 👍
People that go outside lol
Some of these "features" are available on current Android phones period.
Currently $449 (04NOV23) at Lenovo.
$399.00 November 21, 2023
It's now $399 at Motorola! Ordered mine yesterday....
Nice!
