Hello! Thanks for reaching out and watching! Our thought is that you may be more comfortable with the Kid Comfort Active on long hikes as it comes in right around 5 lbs and the Pro is over 8 lbs. The Active also employs technology like Air Lite back system will make the ride comfortable for mom or dad as they won't get as sweaty on their back. Hello! Thanks for the informational video! I'm currently torn between the Deuter Kid Comfort Active and the Deuter Kid Comfort 1. I realize the Kid Comfort 1 is no longer made, and the company has changed their products some. However, there still appears to be a lot of Kid Comfort 1's out there. Would you recommend the newer Kid Comfort Active or the older Kid Comfort 1 for overall comfort (parent and child), storage, and durability? Also, the Kid Comfort 1 doesn't have stirrups or the ability to add the sunshade like the Kid Comfort Active carrier, correct? My husband and I are looking to go on some more casual hikes with our 20 month old (21 pounds). Thank you!
Hi there! You certainly would not go wrong with either, however, the stirrups are a great addition to keep your kiddos feet and legs engaged. The sunshade is a must for many of our users . It would certainly be up to personal preference, however we certainly love the newer versions. Thanks for watching!
I don't see a shade. Is that a required extra purchase? Would the 369031920040, KC Raincover Deluxe work on this?
