I make this all the time. I use 1 pack each of plain ground pork and hamburger. I also use heads of cabbage because I prefer to clean and cut my own but bags of shredded cabbage work, also. We top a bowl w eggs and spring onions. We eat it for breakfast and dinner. This is an excellent meal to keep you full a long time yet it doesn't feel like you ate a big heavy meal that weighs you down. Don't know how to describe this.. you feel like you had something really great to eat and feel satisfied but it doesn't weigh you down like comfort food does (meat and taters sort of meals)
BTW, I made a big batch Saturday and three days in a row had it for breakfast and dinner (we ate a bowl about 90 minutes ago.). Don't even think --- three days??? 2x a day?? Once you heat it up and start eating it yet again ... You will be like man this is so good! Not like ugh I can't eat that again. We make ummmm sounds when we eat this. You must try!!
@FM19MONTH LOL, I'm eating a big bowl, right now, but I didn't even bother reheating it, eating it cold straight out of refrigerator, using some nw, pretty chopsticks. Yummy even cold! My version is slightly different, but next time, I'll add some onion as well as the fresh garlic & ginger I use and still top after cooking with fresh scallions and small amount of sesame oil. I also use Tamari sauce (don't add salt, taste first, my mistake last night!) Oh, and I put in about ⅓ of cabbage once meat is cooked and put the rest in at last couple of minutes so lots of soft and crunchy.

Love this. I made the egg roll in a bowl last night, turned out great. My husband won't eat cabbage in any form, so I made his with shredded lettuce. He had 2 servings!
This was awesome. I added two things after the garlic, ginger and sauces, 1 can of tiny shrimp drained. Then I added 1 egg in the cleared out center of the pan, scrambled it but before it was cooked I mixed the whole pan, then added the coleslaw mix.
I love this recipe as you can alter it so many ways for different flavors. Ground beef. Pork, chicken. I sometimes add in bean sprouts, scrambled egg, baby corn. Cauliflower or Palmini rice and sometimes add a few chopped nuts for crunch and fresh cilantro on top. Sometimes a little sugar free Thai sweet chili sauce, or fish sauce. The combinations and options are endless. This is one of my go tos easy and fast!

Sooo many youtubers and esp keto youtubers do not actually eat their food, they cut away before they swallow, always, which makes me suspicious. Started making chopped cabbage salad, with green and purple cabbage, kale, celery, carrots. Sometimes I put in chopped brussels sprouts. Can be eaten raw or cooked. Notice it has helped my joints feel better when i eat it consistently thru the week. I toss in bacon bits, or crispy onion, slivered almonds or sprouted pumpkin seeds. Radish is good chopped up in it for added crunch.
I Texas-fied it a little. I used Jimny Dean All Natural pork sausage. I seared some jalapeno slices and chunks of red bell pepper which I added at the end. Also added a table spoon of Swerve brown sugar substitute. The jalapenos heat it up nicely. Thanks for the recipe Low Carb Love.

Just made this and my husband and I loved it. I couldn't find my red pepper flakes so we went without but it was still yummy. I didn't see the part where you added in the ginger and green onion so I just put the ginger in right before the cabbage and sprinkled on the green onion before serving. Thanks! ❤️

Try it with ground pork and add some bean sprouts. I would say water chestnuts but they somehow have quite a few carbs.
