It's a shame this movie didn't get better reviews. I think this is the only decent black sports movie (aside from (Cool Runnings)that I know of that wasn't about basketball or football.
I watched this during my 7th period and this part drew me close to tears. I repressed it cuz damn, I know it's a movie, I just got too emotionally involved 😢. I really felt the pain when the other team "forfeited"

Anyways my mom picked this movie called PRIDE out of the $5.00 bin at Walmart. I didn't know diddle-scott about this movie but this movie made me see life differently and I DO MEAN DIFFERENTLY SO TO SPEAK.
Great movie this movie 13 yrs old, came out n 2007 at the movies & on dvd I bought it this yr which was I shouldn’t have, I should’ve gotten that movie 11 yrs ago n 2009 on dvd 4 a cheaper price which was supposed 2 been & should’ve been my freshman yr of college when I was 20 yrs old n February 20,1989 that’s my bth day & since I graduated from high school 12 yrs ago n 2008 when I was 19 yrs old n February 20,1989 that’s my bth day & I love that best part when they just went ahead & swimmed without competing & this is their house.
Everyone should have this kind of outlook on life in every situation. Thank you Jesus for this scene.
