Forget equipping DS9 with Quantums, Starfleet needs to considering arming Spacedock with Quantums. Considering how long it stood up to that fleet in the Picard Series Finale, if it had weapons, it never would've been defeated.

It did have weapons. It has heavy phasers, whatever the 2401 equivlent of Type XI Emplacements are, and many torpedo launchers. If you watch closely during the scenes when the fleet is firing on Space Dock, you'll see quite a bit return fire. It destroyed about 20% of the attacking fleet. It might have done more damage if it were not actively the scene of multiple small unit actions as the assimilated garrison members were being fought. And installations like that are never meant to fight alone, but in concert with a garrison fleet. I do find it odd, however, that the starbase, and Earth, was not ringed with Orbital Weapons Platforms. If the Cardassians could deploy hundreds of OWPs around relatively unimportant systems on the periphery of their space, Earth, as the capital of the UFP should have more fixed defenses than Starbase 1.

@@Sephiroth144 well in all fairness im pretty sure that model of executor is not coded very well. From what i remember the last time i used it, its weapons where limited to only firing one shot form all weapons at a time and the firing arcs are rather poor. Aside from the Super Weapons, Star Wars has been on a lower scale from Star Trek (TNG) on a tactical level. V'Ger was 98k long × 40 or 50k wide .... making a Super Star Destroyer tiny too....(Re: To bad Star Trek didn't have "TurboLaser batteries" too....😅😂🤪🤪Nyuck! Nyuck!Nyuck!)
