Hello there! I dont usually make requests but I thought I'd make one anyways. Could you possibly do a hair tutorial on Visons hairstyle from the new WandaVision series? Thanks.
I have a specific “emo/scene/alternative” haircut I’ve always wanted; it’s basically Oli Sykes circa 2006 and no matter how well I explain it - I’ve taken photos, videos, gifs etc it just never turns out the way I want or there’s just something off about it. I even travelled to the city to a high-end salon and the guy had no idea what he was doing even though I had previously had a consultation with him. So doing research, taking good photo references and explaining in minute detail doesn’t actually work out in every case. I know that the emo look is not as popular as it once was but come on it can’t be THAT difficult for professionals to achieve. Having said that I have gotten it pretty close myself a few times so I guess...meh?
6:55 Disagree with you here. I totally understand where this guy is coming from. Sometimes photos can be misleading and in effect the stylist has a totally different interpretation on how the cut was achieved. He was asking for your interpretation so that when he finally goes to the barber/stylist, he can help the barber/stylist have a clear idea on how the cut was achieved (was layering done, was there a perm?, etc.) . For example, from the front, a two block haircut can just look like a regular fade. If you just show a barber a pic of a two block from the front, the barber can interpret it as just a regular fade. And it is highly likely cuz not all barbers know what a two block is plus the time pressure can cause brain fog on the barber's end.
I think one huge issue, is that it is very hard to find a hairdresser that is well trained. These schools are churning out hairdresser that can't cut hair. They only belong at super cuts.
Strongly agree with this , all i ask for is number 2 and 3 blend on the sides with pictures showed and they ended up doing skin fade most of the time. It seems like theyre specialized in one way
A lot of men don’t consider the extent they have to style and care for their hair after they get a good cut. Getting the cut is half the journey. Being able to style it like a professional can is a whole other issue.
@Oblivion Shampooing every single day can damage your hair. Especially if done improperly. And especially the longer it is. If you have long hair, only shampoo the scalp and let the shampoo cleanse your ends on the way down. Then conditioner the ends and rinse with cold water. If you have to shampoo everyday because of too much oil, shampoo like that. But most people dont get that oily that quickly unless there is an external reason. Like working out or using the wrong product for your hair type. As a result people tend to over shampoo which pulls the moisture out of their hair shafts and dries them out regardless of conditioner use. Which can cause split ends or frays or breakage, all of which can impede the hairstyle you are trying to go for in the first place and make your hair look not so healthy.
Nah, I just wish that all barbers can do all the hairstyle that I want. Cause most of barbers here in my place is always doin 2x3 haircuts. Like wt*? I'm not a kid anymore. 💪✅✌😘

Can anyone just tell me for curtains middel part or leos hairs do we have to trim the sides and back and keep the front hair grow about 6 7 months?? I mean do we have to get a hair cut for the sides and back in those 6 7 month
This brought a question to my head so what do you do or how do you achieve finding a good stylus like where do you start can you Google it or something?
I have a question, if I am growing my hair out to get a slicked back look, do I go to a barber or a hairstylist? Do barbers do better with short hair or long hair?
Most barbers at least in my experience are better at basic haircuts. I'm sure they could do a slick back style, that is a pretty basic haircut, but if you want something with volume & you want that type of male opinion where you're comfortable talking about it that you would almost get from maybe a female stylist, I would try to find a male hairstylist at a salon that's what's always worked best for me. If I decide to go short & get a nice fade high & tight then I'll usually go to one of my local barbers depending on who's working etc because it's quick & easy. I just feel that if you walk into a barber shop cuz it's a real "manly" environment & show them a picture of a hairstyle that you want they might be like why do you want that?! They might ridicule or make fun of you. They might say you look better with a short hair they might try to talk you into getting a shorter haircut, something more "manly" etc. I have experience this before and I've also had friends that have experienced this before. I'm lucky and I have a local salon that is owned by a guy that I went to school with & he's been cutting hair his whole life. He's hip he's down with different styles etc I also find that it helps if there's female hairdressers there, that's why I like going to the salon to get their input also... In the end it's totally up to you. A lot of barber shops that are owned by younger guys that have younger people working there are more flexible, hip etc but if you walk into a barber shop that's been there for say 50 years & there's 4-5 older guys just chilling there & older barber(s) he/they're probably not gonna know what the hell you're talking about if you want a certain style or who you're talking about if you show him a picture of someone's haircut. He's gonna be like you want it long or you want it short. A lot of the time they don't even have product or not a good selection of product at least that's how it is in my area. LOL
@@jonmurphy4889 hey, thanks for letting me know and giving me all this great information. Some of the stuff you’ve experienced I have as well. I still don't get how hair texture couldn't get the desired haircut. I have extremely curly, coarse hair... But, I've been able to get the curtain haircut by, guess what... using a straightener and products.
If you are straightening your hair and using products every single day to keep up a hair style, and you would need to, eventually you will run into issues. Either damaging the hair itself or burning a hole in your wallet. Also what products you use does depend on your hair type because depending on porosity your hair could get super greasy/oily so fast that you would need to shampoo all the time. Another thing that could.. actually it will damage your hair. If you dont care about or know the difference in healthy vs damaged hair then you are doing youself a disservice anyway by not looking as good as you are biologically capable of. You are better off figuring out what your hair type is and then finding hair styles of that hair type so that you dont have to overwork your hair all the time, turning the process into a chore with diminishing returns. As for the barbers perspective, you have to keep in mind that while cutting styles they need your hair wet. They cant straighten, put product in your hair and then start cutting away. And when your hair dries, as someone with curly hair, it will bounce back and look way shorter. Most barbers dont want to be the cause of your bad hairstyle when you decide not to do your daily straighten and either mousse or sea salt spray or whatever product you will inevitably use to keep your hair from bouncing back.
@@An.Unsought.Thought dude thats what many girls do everyday dont get the double standard in society especially since w mens hair if it gets damaged u can just buzz it and itll grow back in like 2-3 months

@@An.Unsought.Thought dude thats what many girls do everyday

I recently had mid skin fade and top texturised and front cut to my eyebrows but I want to regrow my hair should I get buzz cut to grow it out so it’s grown evenly

@@mpchri5696 no need, my hair's past my shoulder now, grown from an undercut
no need bro, just grow it out, don't keep thinking about it, if 6-8 months in it looks like in needs shaping, then get it then.
I'd suggest yes
