May 11, 2024. Weather has cleared and operations are on-going at the Baltimore Key Bridge collapse site. Dali is still in place, work continues to free the ship.
From a novice, this is fascinating. Thank you for posting these. I am learning so much, I may have missed my calling. “Very interesting to see…” indeed! Thanks, from Pasadena.
That piece they are lifting is the "nasty gash". That's a wicked piece of steel with very sharp ends. I just pray there is never a rigging failure with one of these lifts.
I really appreciate your commentary. It is level and not attempting to create something Hollywood. the actual blast should beboring. Suggest that you could suggest to Central Command to organise a syncronized fireworks display attached to the bridge to create some gloss to the blast. I have been chatting to a freind, who is involved in explosives in the Gold Industry in Western Australia. He has been involved in MINE RESCUE, all over the world using explosives to access trapped miners. These rescues, involve blasting within inches of the trapped miners. The only injury he has observed was to himself after some miners were released and they mobbed him thanking hm for being rescued. KEEP UP THE COVERAGE.
The news reported that span to only weigh 4 tons. Really? And the governor stated empty containers were one ton. They really need to get their facts right. That span would be more like 4000 ton . Great videos Andy and I appreciate you answering my questions so quickly . Keep up the good work
Audio is awesome now, Voice over is now louder than the audio from the Two-way Radio chatter/ mic keying. Thank you for your time and effort to share this with us.
Talking about the weather, I can remember as a boy my relatives saying “if you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute” Baltimore born here and I live just a few miles from the bridge.
I don't know how they are going to get that huge section of truss on the bow of the Dali to fall away from the ship. Tha animations show it sliding off. I hope it works.
When you panned over to the Dali where the manlift was it looked like it had been lifted up onto the Dali so it could reach the top, I assume to place charges.
Perhaps some of the beams can be made into small mementos and embossed with a special commemoration stamp and sold as souvenirs proceeds going to wherever governor or legislature decide.
Captain Andy, orange and cream coloured boom areal lifts are JLG lift! And from what was shown from some other video footage was they were installing backing mat’s on the out side of the shape charge location. It’s like the same idea of blasting mat’s when blasting rock. In the video footage it looked like pieces of conveyor belt being Hilted in place. The footage is from @jeffostroff channel ruclips.net/video/HGOEo9Bhlp4/видео.htmlsi=EP4-z69X1YcnfIap
It's now loaded.. It can take up to 6hrs after the Live ends.. YT is only storing the video feed Live.. the chat has to be uploaded in a painfully slow process after.
Need to start talking about When they blow that if it all goes the wrong way and goes onto the dolly there's a possibility there's a possibility there's a possibility that thing could sink
Got a question....After the explosion, I take it the front of the Dali might rise off the bottom. What is going to stop it from going side to side? I see lines in the back of the ship.
Their is a volume stability toggle in the settings tab on youtube that was added a few weeks back maybe those with audio issues should check that it is enabled as when that setting is available it raises the volume up.
Thank you for all your efforts in this
So nice of you

Cruise ship leaving from Norfolk on May 19th has told its passengers that when they return, they will dock in Baltimore.
Fantastick great zooming
Many thanks
Great videos enjoy watching it just seems like it takes so long but I realize it is a big job to do 👍🏾

Noted!
Good afternoon
Talking about the weather, I can remember as a boy my relatives saying “if you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute”
Baltimore born here and I live just a few miles from the bridge.
Well done again from the uk
Sadly time difference means I have to watch this later but awesome video
WOW Alfred has a great channel. Miami Chit Show!!!
Check out the progress on the Gordie Howe Bridge. The two sides are close to joining over the Detroit River. Good stuff.
Sound is good!
Yes today is way way better. Yep Explosions tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon. I hope to join you on Sunday for your live feed !
I don't know how they are going to get that huge section of truss on the bow of the Dali to fall away from the ship. Tha animations show it sliding off. I hope it works.
sound is fine!
When you panned over to the Dali where the manlift was it looked like it had been lifted up onto the Dali so it could reach the top, I assume to place charges.

Great videos of the progress being made. is there any pictures or video of the tangle up maze of what is under water, or is it just to murky?
That’s great
Love this channel! Could you please give me the name of the live site that shows the view of the starboard side of the ship? Thank you from Texas!
The vertical poles on the barge, drop them in and you are set. That's a "Spud".
Unfortunate situation. But this is like all the kids playing with their Tonka trucks all grown up.
I can see the manlift at the bottom of the vertical beam the crane is linked to.
When is the explosive demolition scheduled now? I heard Andy say it has been delayed.
sunday pm 5-6 ish
Would the cranes have increased difficulty positioning themselves due to interference from the solar flares?
Have you seen or heard about any drone action by the official project of the demolition crew 🤔
Would you think that part of the span directly on the ship might remain?
Andy ,Besides the losses of crushed containers, did all the reefer containers continue to be refrigerated or was that part of the electrical failure ?
So they rescheduled demo from the top of the ship or did they do it yesterday?
good morning from new zealand

Is the blast scheduled for 5PM today 5/13?
what if cannot afford to join? can you still chat and watch demo
He just got his 5 minutes of fame
They are using precisely shaped charges. You aren't going to see a big explosion.
There are bird nests in the lightening holes on the bridge
Looks like lower truss not wrapped
How come 4 hours ago is live???kmt
Great shots , who is paying for all the work
Probably us later on
What is the smokestack in the background? Power generation ?
Yes, it’s a power station.
@@bobdickerson3434 Must be natural gas. No large storage tanks.
Brandon Shores Power Plant
@@lzed223it’s coal fired. It is Brandon Shores Power Plant - Pasadena, Maryland
@@gregoryhumphrey2831 no way! They must have a great scrubbing system.
Does anyone what time Sunday they are going to blast the piece away?
Hopefully around 5
@@MinorcanMullet Ok, thanks👍
when is the explosion supposed to happen?
Tomorrow afternoon 5-6ish
It could be a little Louder
Hmmm it seems we need to "join" in order to comment not just subscribe.
so they are not going to blast it today 5/13/24
Zoom back inn
no chat replay .. so sad
It's now loaded.. It can take up to 6hrs after the Live ends.. YT is only storing the video feed Live.. the chat has to be uploaded in a painfully slow process after.
It usually takes some time for it to be generated
Need to start talking about When they blow that if it all goes the wrong way and goes onto the dolly there's a possibility there's a possibility there's a possibility that thing could sink
no it is already resting on channel bottom .the charges will be very limited and direction .a mild pop pop in sequence .
You need to get yourself a monitor to see what your camera is looking at Andy lol then you'd see what we can.
Got a question....After the explosion, I take it the front of the Dali might rise off the bottom. What is going to stop it from going side to side?
I see lines in the back of the ship.
Apologies are not necessary
low volume
Their is a volume stability toggle in the settings tab on youtube that was added a few weeks back
maybe those with audio issues should check that it is enabled as when that setting is available it raises the volume up.
its the weekend .union workers .nothing to see hear.
they are working real Hard over there .
When they blow that it's gonna sink the dolly
But to where? Dali is sitting on the bottom... she's grounded 🤷♂️
good morning from new zealand
