Thanks for this video. I’ve been successfully selling lots of bouquets in my local bakery (I’m in Australia) and these ideas for recipes are great. I’m going to try the less variety idea. It will definitely make it much quicker.
Your mention of " it's not a floral arrangement along with Jenny saying that sealed the deal for me to sell flowers. Don't get me wrong I love floral design, I was just not going to work for my business model. So thankful for that timely advice. PTL
Last year was my trial run to making and selling bouquets I was making only 3-10 a week BUT I had a small amount of flowers to choose from so it took me a very long time to make bouquets because I would only have a few of this flower and a few of that flower so each bouquet ended up being unique. This was a good experience and learning for me. I have four kids and also homeschool them so I definitely need my bouquets to be quick and easy.
Interesting to hear how the $30 price point for your Csa was marketed as a reserved bouquet with a long pick up window! I’m really looking forward to your Csa video and learning more about what the process has been like for you.
You all are gonna hate me… Dahlias overwinter for me and I never have to dig unless I want to divide the tubers. 😅 We have really sandy soil and mild winters.
Thank you so much for this information! I have never bought patreon stuff before, but i felt this one was worth purchasing. I bought the $25 bouquet pdf and then i clicked the download button and nothing happens. Is there something I need to do to make this available to me? Thanks again for all your content, I find myself rewatching all your videos about this time of year.
Thank you for your bouquet recipes for 2023 and 2024. It is helpful. But I know that you didn’t mention ranunculus at all for 2024 and yet Iknow you grow them. Were they a special bouquet?
Hi Lisa - no, I don’t really want to add another flower to our list, I don’t really enjoy crate growing, and I don’t feel they are unique enough (easy to buy at the grocery store etc)
Lilies are one of the higher priced stems in flower stores. They also are easy to grow & come back every year. Lily bulbs aren’t very expensive & there’s so many varieties. Glads too.
And yet for me I much prefer lots of fillers over large blooms.... it's important for me to hear this otherwise I can tend to create bouquets based on what I like but need to recognise that I am probably in the minority...
I so appreciate your no-nonsense, don't buy into the aspirational marketing, "I'm not interested" attitude. It's great.
Haha love it.
Just found you today. Super smart!
Welcome!!

Love the backdrop flower painting framed by vintage shutters. You have wonderful taste!
Love this information! It’s already making me think leaner for the upcoming seasons and I feel relieved.

Do you use precut wrap and where do you order that from?

Lol
Alex, do you have a patron PDF on your stem pricing? Also, did you get them from the Boston flower exchange? Thanks a bunch 🎉
We do! For sale separately or free with membership
Be over there soon😄
So agree about the Panatone color.
Pdf looks great! Very helpful.

That’s strange! Will you email me and I can help troubleshoot? Coramdeofarm@websnappy.com

I mentioned them in the April recipe
Hi Alex ! Have you considered growing Oriental Lilys?

Filler is a "reason not to buy" to me. Rather a few healthy flowers than fluff.

@temha6978 only shows preferenses vary😉
