I decided to randomly search up reactions to Spiritfarer seeing I got it a few years ago but never played long enough to see a spirit off. I told myself that I probably wouldn't cry but I kept seeing comments on other videos talking about "Stanley", so I found this one. Well safe to say I did in fact cry, instantly, in fact, seeing the way he talks.
I don't often show it, especially seeing people have always told me growing up I have had to be mature, and that essentially whining or being upset was brattish, childish, so I secluded all of what I felt out.
The way Stanley thinks and talks during these moments feels like a reflection of myself, even if the way I think internally is still very much childish. I *am* scared, and I *did* and *do* wish people were there for me. "I hope it's like falling asleep" is something I've thought of constantly, it made me sob. Despite being 20 there's a child who's still very much afraid. Oh well, thank you for the video.

Spiritfarer is a beautiful game and would definitely recommend you playing it through if you have it!
I feel like everyone has a spirit that they relate to the most and there's aspects of Stanley I also relate to! Try and remember that being emotional or sensitive is not a bad thing. Nurture your inner child and make sure that they are happy and loved too! Hope you are doing okay and I am happy that I could share Stanley's story with you
