I don’t think it’s “not allowed” per se, it was just not done, at least during the reign of the late Queen. I think the King’s court is more relaxed (not informal) now than it was before.

The correct title should have read ‘Stella McCartney kisses King Charles’ By switching the names around, it changes the meaning of the title in the hope that it will make Charles’s look like the perpetrator. It was Stella who made the first move and King Charles handled it very well.
