      And so we learn. 🤲
My fear is that the general public will fall deep into thinking the Mawlid is compulsory over the solaah, and hajj and so on.

@@Yaaseen-AllieI highly doubt that there would ever come a point that any Muslim would think that Mawlid/ Moulood is compulsory or on any degree of significance beyond the arkaan of Islam. Moulana Yusuf Karaan and many ulama before always stressed the Arkaan of Islam way above anything else and yet Moulana Yusuf and Sh. Nazeem Mohammed and Imam Gasant Achmat and many other were strong Moulood activists

Now, using Hadith in the incorrect context. It is either allowed or not allowed there no proof this done in time of the Prophet SAW nor the Sahabas nor three Righteous generation who followed them. This Shai practice an innovative into Islaam

Had the same question last night, depend on the era, I will use the definitions ml Taha gave, as the earlier salaf used it as to read history of the prophet and quoting hadeeth.
And in today’s time a Mawlid has some of those elements, but as He ml Taha mentions, it no longer takes those forms when they read literature. Amoung other additional activities which they do in the 21 century.
So I can agree that Mawlid as practiced by the earlier Muslims, by reading Hadith and thikr, that is basically it for me. I personally would not add anything extra or hold it on a specific night continuously .
      And Allah knows best
