A fantastic walk around one of my favourite parts of London. Everything clean, well maintained and mercifully free from graffiti. Even the Victorian lamp posts are special. Thanks for sharing.
@johnsharp8632 You're so welcome, it's a lovely part of London!
Yes. When you see neighborhoods these days without graffiti, or people without tattoos, it’s like a refreshing cold drink !
Vengono tutti in Italy a sfregiare purtroppo.
Great exploration around Kensington, the most expensive Streets of London. Tnx4d virtual tour my idol WATCHED WALKER
Clever integration of "Watched Walker" signage over the store front 👏
I never get tired of the west end but love this equally ❤
Krásné na pohled ve videu, ale v realitě ten Londýn je tak na ten celoroční čaj a spánek...🫖🌫🌧🌂☂
Thank you🩷🌸🌸🌸🌞
Very sad memories. One year I was living in Kensington Court Place, walking to Kensington Gardens , walking in Kensington High Street.
I was an Au Pair from Austria.
Thanks. Nice to see an interesting walk of a different area. We don't need to see Leicester Square again, this was a very pleasant surprise.
I stayed in Kensington 15 years ago, would go back there if I could.
We stayed at a hotel just around the corner from Kensington High street station!!! We went for many walks around this lovely neighborhood!!! Hopefully , we will be able to visit this area again, soon!!!
倫敦這讓人怀念的街道!乾净絕尘!每當黄昏漫步在這优雅的行人道 坐在那佈置高雅的咖啡廳喝上一杯濃濃的!真是人生值高無上的享受!👍👍👍🙏🙏🤗
Very nice walk through the streets of Kensington.
Streets with very beautiful buildings, very chic and other streets with smaller houses, but very beautiful too.
The pastel colored houses are lovely and there are a lot of them.
Sometimes older shops, but everything is very tasteful and very calm!!.
It's Kensington, obviously!!.
Shopping streets too.
A beautiful neighborhood to explore.
Thank you Ami WW for this visit.
😀😀😀😀😀
@francoisevitard5272 You're very welcome, and thanks for your comment as always.
Beautifullllllll
Grazie grazie grazie. Mi sembra di essere ritornata nella città che amo.
Haven't been on here for a while but WHAT a treat! Like slipping back into a warm bath. Familiar and reassuring. I've now got some catching up to do...
@milobell5525 Welcome back!
I had to go back this far in time to find an episode with hidden logos - something that really distinguished this site. Please bring back that feature.
Thank you very much for a wonderful walk! I really love your amazing channel. Thanks a lot!
@pathwaytostyle..2064 It's my pleasure, thanks for watching!
Very beatifulll 👍👏❤️❣️
My favourite part of London.
Thank you for this beautiful walk through Kensington....❤❤❤
Thank you ! Happy to discover another part of London ! 🙏😍🙏
Gorgeous 👌
Used to live near this long ago and walked here. Many profound thanks 😊❤
@iahelcathartesaura3887 You are very welcome.
Beautiful walk! Really enjoy the smaller side streets and squares.
@liberty_and_justice67 Thank you, I'm pleased you enjoyed it.
Where London is still London!
As a Londoner myself, & still domiciled, its interesting to see these streets, because few of them are familiar to me, and there's no reason why they would be, its a big city, and I've never lived in this area.
What I observe most, is that people keep their properties spick and span, and the Council obviously doesn't tolerate dissenters from that, & they also seem to make sure the streets are very clean.
Im concentrating my views on domestic properties, and am disappointed. I watched this to see rows of Georgian terraces and town houses, and whilst there are some, its not as many as I'd hoped. What is hiding under many properties given a face lift over the years though, that now have original features removed, I don't really know, but the Council seem to have allowed window glazing bars and window mouldings to be removed by the ton, with some other outrageous alterations ignored by the planning department. Surely, the side streets covered by this video are inside a conservation area?
I know that after 200 years or so, many Georgian houses have been altered, but in many less prestige areas like Camden, Islington, Swiss Cottage etc, at least the glazing bars are being put back. Not here.
There's also some really awful reproductions of earlier houses here, that just don't look right. I think they're called 'generic'.Try 32.04, why no glazing bars again, they'd be in keeping? Why cheapen the whole thing, just so its easier for the window cleaner. At 17.08, see the recessed 1930s window on top of the heightened ground floor Victorian bay window, and that extraordinary long window on the side, which might please the owners from the inside, but which gave the architect such a head ache with the guttering! For heaven's sake, what was the planning officer on the day he recommended that to go through, its an eye sore. And it has its twin on the other side, so I wonder if these are also brand new.
Many of the newer properties have their features pinched to fit into a space, too small for the ambition of the owner.
There's also some terrible 60s, 70s, and 80s concrete blocks, that anywhere else would be considered slummy. Try at 3.01, 16.57 & both sides of the road at 21.50. They lower the tone, but are now difficult to get rid of.
The properties here are not the best in London, in my opinion, but people with money want to show off their wealth, so they want to live in the most expensive Borough (apart from Mayfair, the land of ugly Edwardian apartments). Clearly, all that glitters, is not gold, though I expect there's a lot of gold plated taps inside some of these houses...😀...
Oh, and thanks for the video
And at 43.55, I think you captured a drug deal taking place😀😀.........
Your comment is pedantic but valuable. Thank goodness people like you still exist. What properties in London do you consider the best?

Thanks, but no large areas of London are untouched by planning blight. There are however pockets of beauty all over London, as there are in parts of this video. You can turn a corner in an unexpected place, and find yourself in a Georgian Square. The expansion of London bled into outlying villages, and its often these places where you might find houses that were originally built for their middle class owners outside the city conurbation, but are now inside it. Like the old Kensington village itself.
Apart from the areas I mentioned in my original comment, I suggest you keep watching the vids for the camera to turn one of those corners.........
@@artrandy😂 Priceless
watched walker - you captured one of my uncle's previous residences on your walk (Warwick Mansions). Have you ever walked down Drayton Gardens, Drayton Court in SW London? It would be neat if you captured that street - I hadn't been there in 50 years!
@philipferguson1763 No, I've not walked that street, just along Fulham Road. I'll add it to my list for when I'm next filming around there.
That would be cool@@watchedwalker! I've walked Fulham Road and Old Brompton Road there as well. From my uncle's first home in Drayton Gardens we would walk to the Gloucester and Kensington Tubes as well. Even the Victoria & Albert museum was close! Such a nice area to walk through!
@philipferguson1763 Yes, it's such a nice area to explore.
Lovely autumnal walk, the pastel coloured houses look wonderful. Saw 3 WW logos. Thank you.
@mariapotter2620 Thank you, those pastel coloured houses look so pretty!
Very nice and clean 😊❤
Hi WW. What a lovely walk. Beautiful streets. Beautiful houses. Lovely area! Saw three logos. The third was about in the middle of the video. One logo was fun, it was big, but nearly invisible. Thank you for a great video.
@anne-liseeikahansen Thank you, it's a lovely area for a stroll. Ha, that logo you mentioned was too obvious so I had to use a different effect on it 😀
Very nice , but no gardens ?
Absolutely beautiful walk. I can only imagine living in those houses, those mansions! After watching your videos I always want to have tea and sandwiches and scones. 🤤
@micheleparker3780 Thank you as always! Yes, such a lovely area, I see so many houses I'd love to live in there!
Beautiful place WW! Luckily got all four logos. I liked the white on white one on the delivery truck 👍🏼
@phasaset Great job spotting all four logos, I had to use a different effect on that logo, it was too obvious otherwise 😀
Where's the Sun?
I like it when you get out of the West End, SoHo, Regent St., Bond St., Piccadilly areas. Much more interesting to me to see lovely Kensington and so many other areas of the city.
👍
👍🏻❤
Thanks!
@liberty_and_justice67 Many thanks!
Interest English streets
Ну, вот- где очень дорого, там и более- менее симпатично.
Where is the noise of the screaming children coming from
А в Москве везде так- граффити нет и чисто.
Is the house where Freddie Mercury lived in Kensington? Can we see it in this video?
@meryf.mercury No, it's not in this video, but is in this video, well at least the high wall outside the house - ruclips.net/video/Y-yXR4m-eWs/видео.html
@@watchedwalker ok thank you ☺️
55:51 those pants!!
They look like rolls of cooking foil !!!
Awesome video thank You !!
Some lovely houses, many of them filled with some of the worst people in the UK.
I love your videos. Hugs from Georgia USA 🍑
@dawnw.6559 Thank you, love to Georgia!
Hello WW. How are you? Mum and I are here at home for the next week or so before we resume a very busy events schedule. So we are trying to get as much as possible done at home whilst we have the opportunity. And of course will try to catch up in all your great London videos, including this one naturally. It's actually nice to be at home for a while after being on the go all the time.
Speaking of Kensington, we are familiar with a long stretch of the High Street, from our visits to London Olympia and walking the High Street afterwards for various side trips. We often park at the Livat in Hammersmith and walk about 17 mins to Olympia. We also carry on walking after an event to places such as the London Design museum, the Kyoto Japanese garden in the park, to Whole Foods (which is a reminder of Canada and USA) as well as various other places. Occasionally we will take the #9 bus all the way back to the car at the Livat in Hammersmith. Occasionally a browse in IKEA there too if it's still open. And I do remember you have filmed in that area along the river, just south of the Livat. We had no idea we were so near such a lovely area to where we often park. So a big thank you for that. (Similarly we've learned of the lovely Christmas area out the back gate of the Burlington Arcade thanks to your videos. Moral of the story is to look beyond your intended surroundings!).
Anyhow, hope all is well with you and talk soon! 🇬🇧🇨🇦
@ibs5080 Hello Ibrahim, I hope you both get some rest this week too, I'm sure you'll have a few hectic weeks leading up to Christmas! There's been so many little gems I've found by going for a wander off main streets etc., plus it's good to see how one place connects to another, something many tourists don't experience if using the tube for most journeys. All the best.
Video bom, mas o importante vc não mostra: o trabalho dos lixeiros colocando o lixo no caminhão, de onde vem os gritos das crianças?
❤
Bougie Neighbourhood WOOOOOOOOO
Looks miserable in parts. If this is the best London can offer you'd be better served elsewhere.
