Public Image Ltd play Deeper Water and Reggie Song live at the Concorde 2 in Brighton on 16 August 2012.
This was the second of two sold-out PiL shows at the Concorde. Never anything less than amazing, the band played for well over two hours, turning in a well paced set that included pretty much all the hits (This Is Not A Love Song, Rise etc) fan favourites (Albatross, Religion etc) and a good selection from the awesome new album, 'This is PiL', including the songs featured here.
John was on top form, of course, but Lu Edmonds surely gave him a run for his money as 'Man of the Match', wringing a constant stream of aural magic out of an array of instruments!
The recent material is so good that I genuinely found myself thinking, 'Yay! Another new song!' when something new followed one of the classics. Yes really. That good.

Quick update (UK): Public Image Ltd will be appearing on Later Live on Tuesday 25 September and the extended Later... with Jools Holland on Friday 28 September. Also appearing will be Muse, The Beach Boys and the xx! Eclectic.
