That was beautiful. Especially with the tiny screen on the left showing us the footage live on the camera that u were capturing. It really helped me see what u were going for. And Hannah is so beautiful so it was further motivation to see the other selections of shots u made. Thank you for making this beautiful tutorial video.
My wife and I usually travel occasionally one or two time in the year for vacations and on the return of one of those trips we came up with the idea of create a RUclips channel to upload some of the videos we took on our trips, simple videos recorded only as memories of our trips, but we thought that was good the idea of sharing them with others and learning something new in the process. Without having any idea how to edit we have started uploading some videos of those trips, which do not look good at all since they were not recorded with any intention of editing them or making content like yours for youtube at that time that we recorded them, add our little experience and knowledge editing but it has been the first part of our beginning and we have gradually fallen in love with all this world of youtube and the editing of the videos and the great content that you can create if you propose it, and now what we started as a hobby has become something that makes us many illusions in the future so we are looking forward to our next trip to put into practice many of the things we have been learning from fantastic people like you and try to make better content than the that we have currently uploaded and that is why we wanted to thank you for making this kind of videos that not everyone does and explains as well as you and we also wanted to congratulate you for the excellent result you achieve with your videos. Just 1 day ago we discovered your channel and there is not a single video that we can say that has not amazed us, our dream is one day to make videos that approach at least a little to those you make. I wish we had decided much earlier to do this from the first time we started traveling, but thanks to people like you, we hope that the road ahead will be much easier. Thanks a million and we wish you many good things in your life. Greetings from CUBA.
@@seankitching thanks for answering🙏, we hope you can visit Cuba in the future. It is not a destination as cheap as those countries of Asia but it is an island detained in the time that has its charm, the bad thing for you like content creator is that they (the government)do not let drones enter the country but outside of that it is a very safe and friendly place for tourists and if one day you decide to come you can count on us🤝, We will be very happy to help you in everything we can
I love watching these behind the scenes videos. Really cool to watch someone work explain why they do what they do. ALSO, if there's anyone who is looking for someone to edit a video, I'd be more than happy to take on the task!!! I don't mean to be THAT guy, but I'm just trying to do whatever it takes.
I've been using the 'look through the foliage' shots and shots with sun rays streaming down. Everyone loves them. Viewers say the scenes look very professional. Real wow factors. Thank you!
Wow I was impressed how you went about to set the shots you took and made an awesome b roll. The sounds and music and final edit was great. I really enjoyed the video. Thank you for taking the time to show how you set up all shots to a final product. Great job I'll be watching more of your work, thanks again.
This video popped up on my notifications as a recommendation. I learned a few good moves, very interesting stuff and local too 😉 👌 thank you for the inspiration.
This is a real film making tutorial which is rare on RUclips. Why don't we have such practical videos of actual shoots that explain more than just the rule of third and three point lighting set up.
Sean, nice B roll explained the process, kudos. This was passed on to me from my staff, we are a production film company, keep on teaching others. YES, it takes 10 plus different clips to get it, adding several cameras all rolling at the same time helps too. Add aerial into the clip for a different conclusion, great training video.
This video was so, so helpful! I've been filming for years but am only NOW learning how to make a proper videos. 😅. I have a new Canon 90D that came last week and in ITCHING to take it out. But alas, it is too icy out to avoid slipping and dying in the ice currently. Thank you both for the helpful video!
3:20 You mention do all your shots Left to Right or R to L. But if your subject doesn't have blaitant asymmetry, like a white jacket with 1 red sleeve on it, you can film both LtoR and RtoL and just mirror the image in post so all your shots then go the same direction. You can double the amount of the scene you can use then. Helps to plan a symmetrical wardrobe ahead of time, and if you want to be exact and add effort, do micro tweeks like swap which wrist a watch is worn on, or actually introduce an asymmetrical feature such as a big flower on the side of the hat you will switch for each direction. Even if the background appears to be recycled and flipped, the subjects non mirrored appearance adds doubt.
Thank you man, I found out what b-rolls are from your videos, I edited my second video adding b-rolls you suggested and the response of viewers is just great! thank you!
I want say ThAnks! I am just now trying to get into video and your videos of this style gives me a little more confidence! Please keel making them even if it’s the same style. It helps us who a newbies!
This was really cool and interesting to see! Thanks for shooting BTS of making B Rolls. Its really helpful for beginners like me. Would you be able to make another video on how you edited to get the last sequence? Sorta like what FPS you shot the whole thing in? how you speed ramp and where you get sound effect/cuts/ etc. Thanks!
Just became a new subscriber. I really loved learning from this video. One thing I would love to see is a follow-up video on what you are thinking/principals during the editing process when you are putting it all together.
Dude!! Great content, Sean! Keep it coming. What you share is so helpful. It gives us a glimpse of how you shoot and build your stories. Inspired, brotha. Thank you.

These tutorials are life. It really makes you appreciate cinematic broll sequences. Hours of shooting for a 30sec to 1 minute final video. I love it.
