Idea: sun starts to remember the loops and gets the star before eclipse in one loop. It stops the loop and he gets further corrupted becoming more and more the one person he never wanted to be, eclipse. (I know you probably already have a whole story thought out but I just wanted to share an idea:) )
I guess every loop there was always some little things changed but in the end sun usually always have their KC or something come back. Guessing they are trying to break the loop and save sun
