Note : Resurrection Remix is a pre-rooted ROM, which means you do not need to root it. However, if you don't want to install the ROM and only want to Root your device, follow all the steps to installing TWRP and then flash the .zip file mentioned below :

This might help others as well, so I post it here:
Since I don't have an external SD card in the dual SIM version, the installation of the ROM needs to be done different.
- Copy the ROM.zip file into the adb directory
- in TWRP go to advanced and ADB SIDELOAD to activate the sideload feature
- in the cmd or power shell type: adb sideload ROM.zip
This will flash the file from your PC.
Same can be done with Open GApps for those who like.

I followed all your steps to install twrp in my phone!! but i faced a issue when i type fastboot oem unlock-go the phone goes into fastboot mode and my command prompt says waiting for device!!! how come this error i am getting?? i have enabled usb debugging and oem unlocaking!! can you help?? anyone suggestion??
Thx for the video. However, I don't see when you root the phone. Jump immediately from unlocking the bootloader to flashing he recovery TWRP. What am I missing?
+Willy Jose If you install the ROM provided in the link, you phone will get rooted itself. If you don't want to install that ROM you can boot into TWRP and flash SuperSU zip for Le 2 and your device will be rooted

hey there , Everytime I go to recovery it asks password to decrypt data, and I have to wipe Everytime to mount storage , due to this I can't flash anything in internal storage. I am using old twrp. because I want to go to stock rom and it only works on old twrp. please help

abdul waris maybe the ADB drivers for le 2 are not installed in ur pc..install the drivers ..maybe the problem will be sorted

Equator Zero thanks, I love it. didn't fix the battery by much but performance is snappy, geekbench shows a better copy utilization, and the camera is a whole lot better. overall very happy
