Stop hating on her she is a low income family you don’t know what shes going through. And there’s nothing wrong with her cutting board she just needs to sharpen her knife.
@yasirlol283 a few things. I'm not hating on anyone. Stop looking for things where they are not. Also that cutting board is very bad for the edge of the knife. A plastic will prolong the life of the knife.
Looks delicious ❤ I am also mostly self taught and find my food greatly exceeds quality at restaurants . Loved that you cooked your pesto with the chicken. It releases the flavors.
@@Minikmuzikkutusu um it is but at the same time as far as I concerned , knifes are sometimes more expensive than the cutting board and some types of wood are like maple / bamboo got self healing properties. Not to mention using glass cutting boards are more prone to slipping when cutting stuff. Well that’s just my opinion.
Yeah as someone who did learn how to cook, the first cheat code I’ll pass along is get a different cutting board lol. Glass is terrible for knives and is just unpleasant to cut on. You can get a wood one at goodwill for a few bucks and there’s nothing wrong with plastic either
i thought that wood and plastic can harbour bacteria, and that using a plastic cutting board can introduce microplastics to one’s food?? i could be wrong haha, i wasn’t taught to cook either- just a question!
This looks yummy! People are so judgemental! Ugh! I know you will just ignore them cuz you're stronger and smarter! Thanks for giving me great dinner ideas! 😊
Hi Evelyn! My mom taught us to cook so I have a different background but id say you are doing just as well as anyone else! Id say probably better, because you have to think outside the box for different ingredients sometimes. Same here! This economy sucks. Haha I used glass cutting boards for a long time because putting raw meat on wood just seems gross. I still dont know what alternative to use haha so i just cut it on what I want. Im the one dealing with the knives. Keep on being a wonderful mom n wife!❤
I made this meal out of what was in my fridge, I’m sure there’s a name for it, but i made chicken, brocoli & carrots, put it on white rice and then created my own type of Alfredo sauce how my family likes it and poured it over it and it was so good and didn’t cost a lot!
Nooo now she's using the chopping knife on the meat! -- Just giving you a hard time, I love your content! (The larger knife is better for chopping vegetables because it keeps your wrist up so you don't have to bend it so much. The flexibility of meat and the way you cut it lends itself to a skinnier knife)
Your cooking will be sooooo much easier with sharp knives. If you don't know where to get great knives hit up the meat department where you're at and ask them who sharpens their knives. It's relatively inexpensive.
I love your videos. Fyi, pesto isn't meant to be cooked if that is what you are using. You put it on after the dish is done cooking. Look it up. I love pesto too.
@UMMH2000 I understand. If you look if up it explains why you shouldn't. I used to as well. It's not meant to be disrespectful. I changed my comment some because I was really sick when I commented. I wasn't trying to be rude. I was just sick.

You’re killing it! Having to feed one person three times a day forever is already brutal, and you’re doing it for a family. The fact that you have the energy to make it look good, taste good, AND make content that encourages others? Astonishing work.

You clearly don't have a child or are only slightly involved in raising one. cooking skills are like tying your shoes, you teach the kid whether they want to learn or not.
Actually many of us weren't taught, even if we showed an interest. Either because our parents didn't know how or wouldn't show us. I had an interest and my mom always shooed me out of the kitchen bc she didn't like anyone nearby while cooking. Also, my brother is autistic and had meltdowns when anyone else but mom touched food. I love my mom, but she didn't teach my brother how to handle others cooking, and she never let me in the kitchen even though I asked. It did me a great disservice, and I'm just now learning over the past few years. And teaching my 7 yr old as I go. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Buy it for her ?

You should sharpen your knife. Itll help cutting faster and easier
Get the block cheese they sell instead of the already shredded one , grate your own cheese . It melts way better and tastes better too
Looks delicious ❤ I am also mostly self taught and find my food greatly exceeds quality at restaurants . Loved that you cooked your pesto with the chicken. It releases the flavors.
That mini bread looks so nice.
I strongly recommend to go to any secondhand store or go for somewhere to buy some cheap wooden board. The glass one will definitely ruin your knife
Glass cutboards are healthier, knifes can be changed anytime or sharpened

I'm worried your glass chopping board is going to smash. Could you look into a wooden one?
