    The Vitilan T7 Pro is a fat tire full suspension electric mountain bike. It likes to go fast, and rides comfy with its adjustable suspension. Most ebikes at this price point don't offer the level of quality suspension, brakes, motor, Samsung battery that we see on the Vitilan T7 Pro. It's not perfect, but for $2k, its a solid choice if you like the performance and style shown in this ebike review.

    I bought the original T7 and was greatly dissatisfied in the torque and suspension. The bike accelerated way to slow for a “mountain bike “ and the suspension hardly moved at all. The design for the rear shock is inadequate with no bearings in the shock linkage.
    Customer support on the rear shock issue was truly frustrating! I sent a video of how setting the “Sag” on the shock was impossible on a shock that doesn’t move.
    Setting the “Sag “ means to adjust the rear shock accordingly to your weight for optimum performance, as specified in the included rear shock manual. They sent a video of a support member pushing up and down on the rear shock “Like a Gorilla “ as proof the shock works correctly!
    I thought I would be mad about this video with the “upgrades” on this bike making me more sore I bought the original, but I can clearly see this bike would be equally disappointing. Thanks for the review and clarification!

      Do you think it is because of the hub gearing or is it just a simple setting that can be changed in the LCD display? I don't understand why this bike kept giving less and less power going through sand or up hill. Makes no sense to me when the one I currently own does the exact opposite. It literally boosts me uphills full power, does wheelies and wheel spins etc.

    • @leeonthegrass
      @leeonthegrass 3 месяца назад

      @@Veganarchy-Zetetic I'm not sure what you mean by "hub gearing". Do you mean the rear sprocket gearing? This bike has a rear hub motor so the sprocket gearing has no effect on the hub motor power output. I suspect the slow/weak acceleration is determined by the controller. The bike accelerates slowly in all PAS settings and all rear sprocket gear selections.
      I have found no available display changes that increase the power output upon initial acceleration from a stop on my original T7. However you can "Trick" the controller into a greater top speed via the LCD by entering a different tire size setting in the menu. The top speed then differs by two to three mph from this "pro" version.
      I would have expected this bike to perform much better with a higher voltage battery and greater amperage capable controller. My dainty 500 watt hub motor Lectric XP3.0 has more torque off the line than this supposed mountain/trail bike.
      I suggest anyone interested in purchasing this bike to buy the original T7 as the performance seems to be on par with this "upgraded version" to save $$$..Or better yet purchase a different brand with better customer support.

    • @Veganarchy-Zetetic

      @@leeonthegrass The hub is a geared motor, it is not direct drive. This means the gears inside the hub can be set for either speed or for high torque. My last 2 ebikes have a setting in the advanced menu called 'slow start' For some reason this Vitilan bike seems to be set to full 'slow start' with no way of changing it.
      I absolutely loved the look of the Vitilan bike but in the end I went for something else instead. The Vitilan seemed too heavy, too under powered and I didn't want fat tyres as I thought they would just exacerbate these problems even more.

    What's your tire pressure?
    What's your tire pressure? BECAUSE you ALWAYS have too much pressure when you test Fatbike! Fatbike has a max of 20PSI. 7-10PSI is most often used! You probably have more than 20PSI :(
    check this "Loose sand: 4-6 psi Wet packed beach sand by the surf: 6-8 psi Rocky trails: 6-10 psi Pavement: 10-12+ psi (Most fat bike tires have a max psi of 20) Fresh snow : 1-4 psi (Everyone has a tough time with fresh snow so don't worry. Fat bikes really need packed snow) Packed snow trail: 2-6 psi (Packed non-cross country ski trails that are shared with hikers) Groomed snow trail: 1-4 psi (So you don't sink in and damage the trail)"

    Hey cool review -
    in Humboldt Co we just called it "fog"
    but marine layer sounds better, and yeah a better description of what it is.
    to get out of or above the "fog" it was just a little to see & yeah the ocean was obscured in the am,
    it was a good thing to see.
    Marine layer (?) that I have to remember & share with my fam that still live in the north cal area.
    as for that ebike?
    I expected more, the folding model seemed better for low end torque,
    this ones meh, top speed isnt important to me either, but its not so great either [compared to others]
    it sure looks good & I do like many things about it.
    [yeah the seat post is kinda short] an easy fix/upgrade tho. :)

    I'll take super-quick 0 to 20 mph acceleration over a fast top speed any day, with Plus-size tires instead of heavy 4" fat tires that are useless in CA unless you ride the beach a lot. I'd like to see you test more 52 or 60v 750-watt "legal" bikes, wrapped for acceleration. Related to this, is there a video where we can see all your old 0 to 20 mph stats? Thanks Matt.

    • @Veganarchy-Zetetic
      @Veganarchy-Zetetic 3 месяца назад

      This is the reason I went for a different bike instead. The acceleration seems better on the one I bought and instead of fat tyres it just has slightly bigger ones. I hope I made the right choice because I still do prefer a LOT of features of the Vitilan but I have never tried one myself to truly know which is better.

    • @jdgoesham5381
      @jdgoesham5381 3 месяца назад

      Same. In the city you need it to get up to speed fast.
      This motor is a great motor/controller for that. You can get into the settings and make the low end more responsive. You can even get a controller with higher voltage to get more out of the motor but I suggest knowing what you're doing or find a reputable channel that shows how it's done. You can go too high and obv that's dangerous. These LI batteries make NASTY uncontrollable fires. The huge downside to emotors today. Not even counting the slavery and child labor part of them or that they're extremely environmentally unfriendly all around. Which sucks because I love electric motors but we're not really ready for them for mass use till we have a better power source/power storage for them. And plus the other things I mentioned like the slavery/child labor in the lithium and cobalt mining for the batteries.

      @@darrylphillips6301 It's only my second ebike but honestly couldn't be happier. The air suspension rides like a Cadillac. My other bike has much more torque but the Vitilan is certainly adequate for anything I'd need. Battery life is fine. I never really ride more than 10miles or so at a time but 90% of that is strictly throttle only and pretty much topped out on speed. Not too familiar with Freesky brand but I'd say you'll be able to definitely feel the upgraded Bafang. The advanced settings are probably the coolest part and I've only tried a few different settings so far. Gives you a lot of control to set it for your specific needs.

I even bought the Suntour seatpost shock and can literally ride over anything and not feel it. I have not measured the speed with an alternate source for GPS accuracy which I just remembered so who really knows what speed I've reached. All I know is I leave my wife in the dust and that's all that matters. Battery life honestly could be better but I generally ride this one throttle only and wide open so that could explain it. Hey Charles,, depends on where you live when considering cost. If you are in the Chicago area, then the dual battery wired freedom would be good. They can put it together for you. If you can assemble a bike yourself it seems like the E cells dual battery is the way to go. Good luck!

      @@rvboondocker2559 thank you for the suggestion. I'm in Eastern Washington and my neurologist is across the state line in Idaho. It's 27 miles one way so I agree that a duel battery would probably be best. If I take the road, it has a few hills ranging from 8% - 16%. If I take the trail, the hills are 9% - 12% so riding a regular bike with Parkinson's is really hard and takes almost 3 hours for me to do. Also until my license was revoked I was a Door Dasher but had to stop due to the license issue. On SSDI, I am still able to work up to 20 hours so a duel battery would be best for that also, if I decided to get back into delivering. SSDI barely pays enough to survive on so like I said before, it will take quite a while to save up for an E-Bike. That is why I was trying to get an idea what would be best so I know how much I would need to save up for

    great review it shows it for what it is -
    pretty much the same torque as the 48V 750 hub motor
    not so great a climber, but 80 nm torque is about 10 more than the average rear hub -
    I was hopeful :)
    nice ebike for its purpose, but for the price its at?
    even the kepler outperforms it, but its a hard tail.
    the suspension is nice on this vit ebike.
    performs ok
    gee Id like that nomad1 you did awhile back, it was a little better than the plus - oh well
    my quest continues. . .
    yeah I "need" another ebike ;)

    This bike seems kinda whack, Im sorry. I would get something off Amazon for half the price and more powerful. My 48v has way more torque than this and hits 32mph. I paid $800 for it and have over 600 miles on it. Its a moped style so not like this bike but if this is what you want, they have that too

    Love your thorough reviews! Romans 3 (KJV)

    ²³ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
    ²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
    ²⁵ Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
