She seriously will not stop hugging until you hug her back….too funny! How different a poodle looks without the standard poodle cut. Wouldn’t have known she was a poodle. Sweet girl!
well, once you've seen poodles with normal haircuts, they're actually still very distinctive. not a lot of dogs have hair that curly, and generally not combined with a face that long. I think it's kind of uncommon to even see big poodles at all though.
I went to a barber with a standard poodle and they kept its hair short. That dogs eyes were so emotive and gentle and it's fur was incredibly soft even though it was short and tighty curled. I don't think I could keep up with the grooming personally
@@Ass_of_Amalek My neighbor up the street has a standard reddish poodle that we see just about every day. He seems like a pretty mellow dog.
The standards I've known and loved were loving, smart, and calm.
They are such wonderful dogs. We also had a wonderful mini and toy. The mini was also very calm, but the toy was a very passionate poodle, which made her bit of a handful when we got her as a three-year-old but she got much better at controlling herself. I miss them all so much. My neighbors now have some, which is a joy.
P.S. There was one exception, but he had serious psychological issues.
She's the original big type of poodle, that was bred as a water hound in Germany as "Königspudel" (= "king's poodle"). The smaller types of poodle were then bred in France as show dogs, to replace trained monkeys, because poodles are really smart (and much better at not sh*tting and v*mitting everywhere, which most monkeys do from time to time).
Lots of water hound breeds have this hypoallergenic poodle fur.
There's even a "shepherd poodle" breed (= "Hütepudel", if you'd like to search for pictures) in Germany (although they're very rare now), that resembles a German shepherd more closely in terms of build, but has poodle-like fur.
"Poodle" is related to the English word "puddle": They were originally used to retrieve ducks and other prey from water, because due to their specific fur they can't get wet to the skin, that is as long as you don't use soap on them. So... technically they belong to the retriever group, along with goldens and labradors.
My girl Stella looks like an exact twin, and right now she is licking my hand as I'm watching this video!! I could never be a foster home oh, I just couldn't part with any of them LOL so glad she's got a beautiful home

We know when our pets are happy. But I often wonder if animals, like Tallulah, realize just how much joy they bring into OUR lives!

It's great seeing that Tallulah had found her forever home cause she was a terrified poodle cause she was a show dog at first but after Tallulah had felt real safe she stated to come out of her shell and stared giving hugs to everyone. Thank you, Marcus, and you are absolutely right! Tallulah had been mistreated so much and she was terrified! She immediately knew this lady was going to help her and she ended up to be the most adorable, happy, and delightfully intelligent girl with hugs that will never end because she is so thankful! Poodles are great dogs I had a standard poodle when I was a kid he was the best dog ever
I’ve had many standard poodles in the past and most of them love to stand up and give a big hug. My favorite breed! So glad this sweetheart found a good home.

I feel pretty sure that asking Tallulah “what are you doing?” is almost always a superfluous question because it seems to me that she’s always on the look out for her next hug “victim”! 😜😍🥰

What a beautiful soul this dog has, she reminds me of my Bonnie that I had when I was 15. We rescued her from an abuser and she couldn't have been a more sweeter dog. She loved everyone. I still miss her. 💔

My first dog was a border collie named Hershey and my first or oldest memories in my life are with him running around my grandparents back yard with him and my grandpa Dorcy loved to record his family and all the wildlife on his property and he recorded tapes of it all and he had hundreds of these tapes all very organized and he was always showing us these tapes and it was always fun well anyways Hershey was there dog but everyone knew he was really my dog they said so themselves and he was such a great dog and I spent hours and hours hugging him especially on my grandparents deck swing where Hershey always stayed and
like a year or two after Hershey and my grandpa passed away we where going through some of those old tapes and he had so much footage that I didn't know about of me as a little kid probably five or six years old sitting next to Hershey with both of my arms wrapped around him just hugging him like no tomorrow and Hershey was such a good dog he didn't hug people like the dog in this video but he would let me hug him as long as I wanted and I did for days and watching this reminded me of them and those memories.
Gosh, what lovely memories. "Everyone knew he was really my dog" got me all misty eyed because that's what dogs do. They pick their favorite person.

How SWEET! I want to get another poodle so MUCH now! I got my Minnie when she was about 6 months old from my landlords who got her from the SPCA who had busted a puppy mill in Angola NY. They rescued like, 96 dogs and my Minnie was one of them. She was a beautiful, sweet cafe-au-lait miniature poodle. She and I had a LOT in common. She, like myself, came from a traumatic past that left her so anxious that she couldn't even go for walks. Wouldn't even leave the property-- Until, with love, patience and gradual exposure with my help, she became a normal dog who loved her walks! I was so proud of her-- and ME! I had her as my Emotional support animal for 18 years until I had to have her put to sleep. And guess what? I felt her Presence in my home for 5 days afterwards. I'd never experienced ANYTHING like that. But I confirmed with the vet who put her down in my home that she said MANY of her clients have told her similar stories. She was thanking me for my loving care by giving me a taste of the absolute PEACE where she is now. Thank you, Minnie, my dear "dogter" (daughter), for your love and comfort. I'll be seeing you at the Rainbow Bridge someday, my "Minniekins!" Rainbow 🌈 🐩 😇 I will ALWAYS love you!!

I feel in love with this dog the very first second the face was in focus. All I needed to see to know the heart of this dog. It reminds me so much of my dog Sadie Mae I lost to a brain tumor. Both so sweet and loving. I am a 63 year woman that misses her so badly, it broke my heart. Would love to have a hug from this beautiful girl! Am so glad she has people who love her.

"commercial breeding industry" wow thats politely put, in the UK we call them puppy farms. Glad she is safe now. I've a 10yr old ninja chihuahua rescue just 4.5lb 2kg been over bred, she is my baby, spoilt rotten now. Bless she sits by the front door when i go out even for hours
Yep. In America we call them puppy mills. They started back in the Depression as a way for farmers to make money.
Poodles are a very special breed. I have had six of them in my life. Not all at once. Bailey was my best girl ever. An 8 pound black toy. I miss her every day. You are very lucky to have her. Congratulations.
