I am not Thai but as a thai learner I find it really hard to read Romanized thai because sometimes it can be sooooooo wrong. I had no clue what the words were until I seen the thai script too. I knew all of them except "behavior" I actually didn't know that word so I learned something new today.
Right! It can be so wrong and confusing but I understand that they would have no idea what to read at all without Romanized Thai as they are not familiar with Thai alphabets. By the way, I think that word should be translated as 'behave' more than behavior. We use 'พฤติกรรม' for behavior. @@teckin139
Right! But I understand that if they are not familiar with Thai alphabets, they have to include romaization to have some clue for reading. By the way, 'ประพฤติ' should rather be translated as bahave as we use the word 'พฤติกรรม' for behavior.
As a Thai, the word school (โรงเรียน) at 4:38, the rolled "r" sound in Thai (ร) often gets replaced with an "l" sound (ล) in everyday conversation. It's like saying "wadio" instead of "radio." It is common, especially in casual settings, while the official pronunciation includes the rolled "r." 😊
I know Thai is a tonal language. Both plosive Pi with different tones - one means 'elder brother / sister (polite address)' and the other means 'ghost'. @@m0chiix Interesting. As far as I know in Zhuang there's only one way to say house or home and that is Ran. Baan kind of reminds me of the Zhuang word Mban but in Zhuang it means village.
