My ac went out on my black durango here in TX its been around 104-106 high humidity and the windows don't roll down idk whats up with my truck but all the Electrical is Sketzing out 🥵 it sucks
I've used it in my car when I didn't have A/C at night sometimes when I didn't want the noise of 80 MPH wind and my tires rolling against asphalt. At night, during the summer in Florida, it would be 75-80F with 90% RH. I just sat it on my dashboard on the passenger side and pointed it in my direction. I still needed some fresh air, otherwise it would just get water everywhere since it could not evaporate. Cracking my sunroof and making sure my AC system's air recirculation is turned OFF. At highway speeds there was adequate fresh air that I had no issues. (I could set the AC blower fan to low or medium but wasn't generally necessary if it was going fast enough) As long as it had plenty of ice and cold water, it was actually very comfortable. During the day, forget it. My current car has AC, and I will occasionally use it to supplement the AC and it seems to help it some. You need the mist to evaporate in order for it to be effective and not get everything wet. This is why fresh air, or AC is crucial. Using it along with auto AC is quite effective. Believe it or not the humidity inside your car when the AC has been blasting for a while is quite low. (like in the 30's%, though I've seen mine go as low as 28%, and this was in Florida in June, dew point was 70F, just be sure to set it to MAX COOL or recirculator set to ON) It takes a lot of cooling capacity to cool and keep a car cool so you get lots of condensation which drips underneath the car. As far as it not spilling, I would put a towel on the dashboard to hold it in place and also protect things if some water does spill.
I have one for my house...does NOT cool a room....it is a humidifier...blows cool air , but it needs to be REAL close to you. So, if you are very warm, it does help. Also, put crushed ice and cold water in it. I think it was about $30.
You said it does not take batteries. That actually only sorta true. While it doesn't take your typical AA, AAA, C, D, 9V Duracell/Energizer type batteries. You can use a power bank (which is a type of battery) like you might use to charge your phone. I've done it before and it works just fine. You would just need a USB-C to USB-A charging cable. (Or USB-C to USB-C depending on your battery pack) If you have an Android phone, you definitely have this, and you've probably a battery pack too. Of course, you'll need to charge the battery pack.
I’m living in my car since October 2023 and right now it’s June 2024. Temperatures have been reaching 90° and above this spring and it’s only going to get worse. Bad thing is I work overnight so I have to sleep during the day when the sun is beaming and it’s scorching hot. Hopefully this helps. I have no ice cubes to use though.
That's an excellent use. It definitely helps, but you need to have open windows for this to work. It's best to place it so that it's set in the window and pulling in outside air and blowing it directly on you. You might just have to hold on to it, so not sure if that will make you look to obvious.
To be honest, when i saw this product at Home Depot it caught my interest. Thank goodness for Jason for reviewing it.
Rip i just bought one for my garage lol
Thank you for This video because my ac does not work and I can’t take it. I have to find a solution. Price too high to fix. I almost brought this.

Does the product say it would be good for a car?
No, says indoor use only. People are always looking for a cheap solution to cool their car, but this isn’t it.
