    Good bit off frabrication , follow your gut instincts and usually it works out . I've done a few mods over the years (47) and the trick is to make it look as if there is is no mod too the untrained eye. Great video 👍

    I like your new vision - making a phantom Jag. It will look like a period correct Jag that was never made. It will make people look twice and think I've never seen a Jag like that before.

    'Evening Gordon, you have my attention. I'm Australian but I have had a lifetime association and passion for British cars. During the plague, I did a full resto on an 83 XJ6 and I am now doing another XJ6 and my late fathers' 85 Spur Rolls. A lot of rust restoration on the two current cars using all new sheet steel as well as the usual interior work and mechanical restorations to ensure reliability and the pleasure of driving great cars that I have restored myself.
    I will be watching this project closely as I am quite impressed with what you are doing and how you are going about it, I am always keen to learn and always look to Fitzee and Make it Kustom for guidance as panel & paint is not my trade. Now I have another source of accumulated knowledge and experience to lean on when I am looking for guidance, thanking you.

      @@devinmichaels6822 Thank fuck you came along Rainman Devin. Does your carer know you've been pissing about in your time machine and stalking poor future Gordon? Careful Devin, we are watching you now.
      However, I dont want to see your heroic talent wasted so, I've appointed you to be Gordon's engineering and technical adviser on custom aspects of safety first, how not to be a bad Chad and making things that aren't wrong.
      Regards,
      God.
      Director of Rehabilitation for Special Needs Engineering and Technical Advisors.

      @@devinmichaels6822 Well Rainman Dev, I'm sure you can show me the way back from my state of being a lost sissy.
      And don't think I haven't noticed your paraphrasing from the movie, A Few Good Men, have we started a Tom Cruise worship thing here Rainman Dev given that I referenced the movie Rainman in comparing you to a disability pension receiving simpleton?
      If you don't mind, can we pick someone else rather than Tom lease? Australians dont really like him since he deflowered our Nicole.
      Anyway, I really need to go and do grown up stuff now but, I will be back later to field whatever drivel you have used in your rebuttal as I enjoy this kind of banter.
      Remember Rainman Devin, my son Jesus is watching you and he sees everything you do. Every time you touch your willy with your sister's moisturising cream, he writes it down on your file Devin!

    Great project, Gorgon. I don't know if you have sketched any views of your build but a bit of pencil to paper time might save you hours in the shop. You might want to reconsider how the side quarter window frame placement at the bottom meets the body work. As it sits, the frame is well above the belt line compared to the front window. Visually, this interrupts the flow of the openings front to back. Take a good look at the '69 Mustang fastbacks quarter window and surrounding body work and you'll understand better why it works on that car and may not on yours All best!

  • @bruceaskin9645
    @bruceaskin9645 Год назад +1

    Just a suggestion how would it look with the rear windows coming out at the bottom the same distance as the top, instead of going into the corner

  • @davidbarnsley8486
    @davidbarnsley8486 Год назад

    I recon a nice lift up hatch on the back would be good
    The tube needs to go near the aerial and cut out the boot opening metal and move that onto the tube
    To make the opening for the hatch

    🇳🇴 Like the video. Ideas:
    After the New window,one "big" air intake or some louvers/shark gills?
    Trunk. I like the idea of a small bootlid,using the bottom of the old. But i think grafting in a small ducktail wing/extend the top of the trunk up and backwords,gonna give it a subtle race look.

    • @myclassicfords3658
      @myclassicfords3658  Год назад

      Agree 100 percent on the small wing, haven’t totally decided on the front, thinking larger open grill with cowl hood. Thanks a lot for watching!

      Gordon, we know you have a job and a family. Don’t neglect your wife and kids. Also it seems that your vision has been percolating in your head the past few days. Don’t rush into this build.
